2022-23 G League

NBA TV is a pretty basic-level channel. Might require a sports package with some providers, but others like YouTube TV give it to everyone as part of the basic package. (The $65/month thing is NBA League Pass, not NBA TV.)

Game is at 8pm Eastern.
ah cool - thx

Grant unsuccessfully trying to guard Gilly...

Memphis gets the win as Gilly went for 15 (5-for-10 from deep) with 9 assists, but 4 turnovers. Grant went for 15, 8, and 3, but was -19.

Oh, and the hyped Lofton/Golden matchup didn't happen because Lofton got called up to the Grizz where he saw the floor for one minute tonight.

I watched the whole game, which was hard. There were 25 people attending and you could have heard a pin drop. There was no energy in the game at all. Both our guys played well and had 15 points. Gilyard played like Gilyard, many assists, few bad turnovers, shot 3 well, never drove to the basket, floor general, and is so much faster than the other players. Grant looked like Grant. He is not used as a passer, solely plays in the paint, better on his short shots, his feet still never leave the floor and is much slower than the other players. Same long hair and ugly beard, lol. Like them both a lot and wish them well.
Kellen Grady (Davidson) was the real disappointment in this game. He must have shot 2 for 15 and turned the ball over a lot and was a step slow all night. Didn’t do himself any favors last night.

I watched some of the Gilly vs Grant game, but I found it rather boring due to total lack of energy in the building. Quickly went back to college games that were much more entertaining.

Grant and SDJ faced off tonight, with the Cruise coming away with the win. For some reason, Grant only took four shots and was an awful -25, but he did have 10 boards and 8 assists. Shawndre had 8 points and 8 assists. Grady went for 23 to lead the Gold.

The Charge are at halftime in Santa Cruz and Blake has a three and an assist in spot minutes so far.

Couple of Spiders featured in the rivalry promo!

Gilly's nursing a bit of a sore achilles (believe he had similar issue about a month ago), but still managed 10 points including two big second-half threes, 13 assists, 7 boards, and 3 (!) blocks in a Hustle win.

Light day for Grant with foul trouble...only 22 minutes and 5 fouls. 9 points on just 4-of-12 shooting, 7 board, and 2 assists.

9 points, 5 assists, and a couple of steals in 22 minutes off the bench for SDJ as well.

Blake got off the bench to play the entire 4th quarter in a game that was already out of reach, but showed nicely with 10 points and a team-high +12 in those 12 minutes, plus three boards, an assist, and a steal.

Big night for SDJ in 30 minutes off the bench...22 points on 8-of-11 shooting plus 9 assists. Did have 4 turnovers and 5 fouls though.

Blake didn't get off the bench in his game tonight, unfortunately.

Quieter night for Gilly with just 5 points on 1-of-7 shooting, but 7 assists and a steal.

Blake and SDJ also faced off tonight. SDJ with 11 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists off the bench, while Blake got 13 minutes off the bench but was scoreless.

Huge night for Blake. 26 points in just 20 minutes and a whopping +31 as the Charge took down one of the top teams in the league by coming back from 18 down in the 4th.

Grant with another double-double...15 points and 10 boards. Gold were down 22 at the half but came almost all the way back by the end of the third. Ultimately went to OT where they lost though.

And finally, a rare off night for the Hustle, but Gilly had 11 points on just 5 shots, all from deep, plus 8 assists and a couple of steals.

Grant threatened a triple double tonight, finishing with 13 points, 13 boards, and 8 assists, plus a steal and a block, but 4 turnovers.

Blake had 10 points in 14 minutes off the bench.

SDJ sat out his game tonight with a sore knee.

And finally, the Hustle spread the minutes around tonight in an easy win, so Gilly only had 7 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Gotta finish strong to hang onto the assist crown!

SDJ came back from missing a game to play 20 off the bench last night in a Cruise win. Only had 6 points but 8 assists.

The Hustle blew a lead against the Clippers with a terrible third quarter, but bounced back to win thanks in significant part to Gilly's shooting. He had 13 points on 4-for-6 from deep, plus 11 assists and a steal but 4 turnovers.

Hustle squeaked by the Clippers last night. Gilly finished with 11 points (and was a team-high +10), 7 assists, and 3 steals. He had a key three down the stretch, though he did then airball another one.

Gilly's still hanging onto the league assist lead, 9.6 to 9.4 over David Stockton. Both teams have two games left in the regular season, but Stockton has missed the past few dealing with an injury. Not sure when he's expected back.

Grant and Blake faced off tonight and Grant got himself a triple-double with 12/14/10 plus a couple of steals and a block. Wasn't enough to get the win though.

Blake played 11 minutes off the bench and had a rough 1-for-6 shooting night.

That wraps up the season for the Gold, who won't be making the playoffs with their 9–23 record.

The Hustle struggled tonight and fell to Sioux Falls. Gilly was scoreless on five shots but he did have 11 assists to bump his average up to 9.7. He also broke the Hustle's single-season steals record.

Stockton only had 6 tonight and dropped to 9.2. By my count, even if Gilly is held without an assist in tomorrow night's finale, Stockton would have to rack up 19 in his game to catch Gilly for the title.

Meanwhile, SDJ and Blake faced off in their regular season finales. SDJ had 7 points in 15 minutes off the bench while Blake had 2 points in 7 minutes. Blake and the Charge will be in the playoffs, but SDJ and the Cruise did not make it.

Another tough game for the Hustle as they got blown out by Sioux Falls, but Gilly got 9 assists and 2 steals to go along with 8 points as he wrapped up the assists crown. The Hustle will be the 2 seed in the West.

Blake had 6 points off the bench as the Charge defeated Maine to advance to the second round against Long Island. Meanwhile, the Hustle will host Rio Grande Valley. Both games are on Friday.
