Burton and David Gonzalvez are very good players that we got from the New England prep school circuit. A lot of good players that I think fit our profile at these schools. We have seemed to miss out, the in between IVY and P5 purgatory.

We were his first official visit and the only one he took as a junior. Under the recently updated rules, he could now take another official visit to us as a senior, but obviously he has other schools he's considering so he may not want to use one of his five senior visits on a school he's already visited.

Really don't have a grasp on where we stand with him right now, but we're clearly still fighting.

That's a pretty tough one. NW a great school, which seems to matter to NMH kids, plus a higher conference. My betting money would go on NW, unless Michigan offers.

I still think he’s a serious Harvard candidate. Good chance to dominate/repeat in the Ivy while getting that degree is hard to pass up.

man, Brumbaugh chose Northwestern over some amazing offers. obviously a great school but a pretty bad basketball program most years. probably the top academic school on his list even over the Ivys, plus the ride. these NMH kids are all about the 40 year career, not the 4 year experience.

I know Hunger visited Harvard but I don't see an offer there yet. Yale and Northwestern will be tough to beat.

Collins had them on an upswing there his first few years, but they've faltered more recently. Not sure why the results aren't showing, as he somehow seems to be able to bring in decent recruits. Landed Robbie Beran a couple years ago...still only a part-time starter role player. Big 10 is tough.

As for Hunger, between the two I'd rather lose at Northwestern than lose at Pitt.

I love Hunger as a target. I love that we're working NMH, as I know we have before. I'm sure we've covered this and I'm forgetting, but have we landed a NMH kid before?

Hunger is currently working on setting up a visit date to Northwestern. So far, he has visited Miami and Harvard. He doesn't yet have a timetable for his decision but says "I would like to make it sooner than later."
