Not saying small lineman, smaller. This is the CAA, not the Southern Conference. If we go with smaller linemen we'll be the new Rhode Island.
I'm sure Russ is aware that you need FBS linemen in the CAA, even if we are an FCS school.

Original comment was actually about DL, but looking back at it, it didn't read that way. Huesman said he'd take speed over size anyday for the big defensive guys.
just for conversation if we could get one more recruit who help the most ?
more d line depth would be nice

LOL- no one is thinking in that direction. The comment was about smaller fast players, and I was implying that smaller fast players can be stopped by bigger stronger players, now days. Maybe I'm prejudice, but I see the CAA teams as being bigger and stronger in most cases, than the Southern Conference teams.UTC's line averaged 298 and had 3 players on all conference list, including one magazine picking one of their guys as the best payer in the conference. UR averaged 301.
I wouldn't be concerned with the size of our line. We're not going to be sending 250 pounders out there...
Tweet misidentifies who was there, but Durden and Ross were down in Georgia checking out QB/WR Anthonie Powell today. Visiting campus this weekend.
William and Mary is going to be rebulding next year. The lose a lot from an already not so good team including mr. Clueless.I hope that all of these defects to W&M understand that at UR, the play-offs is an every year thing with multiple play-off games and that at W&M, you make the play-offs once every 5 years and lose in the first or second round. Plus, Laycock will likely be gone before you graduate and while that might not be a bad thing in the long run, it will be a change. I am confident that we will be back on top next year and for many years to come.
It's definitely not unusual for new coaches to make the tough calls to recruits to let them know their vision for them and to give them an out. I respect that this staff has done that versus doing what UConn did and just yanking scholarships. It stinks for the kids, but that's an issue with the whole process. Nothing is final until signing day and even then, Coaches can leave. It's my understanding that Nate is a kid they really want to keep, but like you said, he has to figure out which place is a better offensive fit. While I hate to see anyone defect to WM or elsewhere, he is a local kid with a lot of talent and I wish him well no matter his decision. I'm certain none of these kids wanted to be in this situation (LPitts, Fox, Kroll, TPitts, etc). I have heard some buzz that Thyrick Pitts is definitely leaning towards UD. He had developed a really good relationship with Mines and as his position coach, he's got a lot of influence. Losing him and Evans will be big losses, but Huesman will find others or use the kids we have in other capacities. I'm happy with the recent commits and hope to see more coming out of this weekend. #GoSpidersA lot of the kids that are not sticking with UR are doing so because they eye told that while we would honor their scholarship offer, they may not be an ideal fit for what the staff is looking to do...
We've done everything we can with regard to Nate. It'll come down to how he can see himself during in the offense here and the offense there.
I have a lot of confidence in the staff based on things I hear but can't publish.
It was expected. I hope he chooses us in the end, but if he doesn't, it is what it is. I'd rather lose him to WM though. At least they have solid academics. He'll be downgrading in that respect at UD.
