Good luck keeping track of updates on these guys. Fortunately we don't do a lot of that for football.

Anyway, a couple more:

Cheatham is a familiar sounding JMU name.Believe bro was a TE there.

A number of the above offerees each have a number of offers including Ivies.

Danny et al were busy with their offer letters immediately after the June 3/4/5
UR camps.Next camps are July 15/16 and QB camp June 18.

Nice call 32, IU was going to ask if we just finished a junior camp. Hey that is what these camps are for to get a look at a bunch of guys we might want.

Interesting how some of these players have been reported or said they committed to JMU like PK Kier for instance. Must have decommitted at some point, but I don't see it reported anywhere

Cameron Warfield plays at Gonzaga College High School of the WCAC.Same school as UR WR Arman Shields,4th round draft pick of Oakland Raiders and Cedrick Lindsay of UR roundball.

Grant Donaldson of DeMatha and Noah Nicholson of Good Counsel, both of the WCAC,have been offered as well.

Nice job, guys, in providing this information. It's great to see the talent which we have brought into our camps.
When do we typically begin receiving commits from these, and other, football offers?

When do we typically begin receiving commits from these, and other, football offers?

We typically get a small handful of the summer, 3 or 4 in the fall, and the remaining 7 or 8 in January/early February.

Maybe I'm just an idiot (don't agree with that!) but why are so many of these kids saying
they are "Blessed" to receive an offer? We are talking football here- not devine offerings.

As a high school junior if you get an offer to attend a high ranking academic university to play football,at a highly successful program, the game which you love, for at least 4 years, which would otherwise cost a total of $250,000,you may also feel really, really blessed-in a big way.

Some truly feel blessed, others are just following the lead. IMHO

Urban Dictionary:

1
"blessed
As in Brian Blessed. A man who could out-boom God in the Booming Voice Olympics. Often described as 'shouty' in his acting performances, this is really an inadequate adjective. While the volume the man can produce is quite simply staggering and which regularly makes wilderbeast stampede for their lives even on another continent, volume alone is only part of his amazing talent. His shouting is at once deafeningly loud, jolly, heartwarming, deceptively articulate and imposing. An absolute pleasure to experience, even while your ears begin to shatter.

In addition he understands the aesthetic of contrast in further enhancing the magnitude of his shouting. He will very often speak at a delicate volume for several words in a row, and he is so well spoken you'd think he was a librarian at Cambridge. But then, without notice... "AH WELL, WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER? HAHAHAHAHAHA.... DIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!"

In common usage today as slang for someone whose charismatic presence is felt immediately by all (example below)

person 1: omg hus dat guy hu jus came to da party?!???!"
person 2: dunno bruv, but he's bare blessed you get me! "

2
blessed
adjective for feeling good or having something good happen to you.
"Yo son, i just found a fat dub sack lying on the street, lets go smoke it up homes"
<br>
"Fa shure, were blessed!"
#blessed #good #dub #sack #blessed!

Thus language evolves.

Annap, if you do the numbers and see just how few full scholarships are handed out and what one has to possess and work so hard for to obtain one.....you too, my friend, would feel truly blessed.

SFspidur-

It seems that you are mighty good at finding relevant stuff on the NET.Kudos.

I believe we have made offers to 3 others but can't find anything to officially confirm:

1.Chee Anyanwu
Buford,GA
6-2,190 ATH

2.Patrick Leitten
Ravenwood,TN
6-8,247 OL

3.Chike Otaluka
Northview,GA
6-0,190 WR

Need your investigative expertise.

I couldn't find any direct confirmation we've offered those guys, but Leitten committed to Duke last week three days after they offered him.

Don't know what I think of the "blessed" stuff. Seems its probably just the common way prospects express gratitude for their situations and everyone is just doing the same dance now.

I do know I don't like it when the kid says how many offers he has. "Blessed to receive my 13th offer from the University of Richmond" etc. This is a little bit of a red flag to me. Why would one feel compelled to include their number of offers when expressing how happy you might be about school X offering you? This starts to look like a "me" kinda guy or at least maybe someone who is still a bit immature. I wouldn't take offers away etc. but it would sure cause me to be looking closely at behaviors etc. to see if there are other signs etc.

They're high school kids...they compare and compete with their friends, and number of offers is one way they can do that in these circles. Wouldn't read much into it.

Yesterday morning, Spiderdog and I helped a quarterback and his mom from Ohio find Coach Garrett for his visit here. Big kid, at least 6-3. Any idea who this might have been?

I don't think it was any of those three. The kid I met has a sister at UVA. He was wearing a UVA t shirt and I asked why.
