I was thinking more of an assistant role that primarily helps with recruiting. He is an excellent recruiter.London mirrors Mooney. Great rapport with the players, but just an average coach.
London has been criticized for not having disaplined teams at W&M the last few years. They were close to the top of the league for penalty years the last couple of seasons. Not being as much if a players coach could have been a way of separating himself from a negative.Huesman's remark was in a question he was answering about his relationship with Mike London the week before the W&M game...I may be mistaken from memory, but I believe he mentioned London being more of a players coach, before describing himself as not so much...agree it was an unfortunate comment
Huesman also repeated numerous times over the course of the entire season that he loved this team...that the group of guys was great to be around...that it was fun to go to practices...etc. etc.
it's confusing!
Go Spiders!
You are right he probably wishes he had the part of that answer about himself back.Huesman's remark was in a question he was answering about his relationship with Mike London the week before the W&M game...I may be mistaken from memory, but I believe he mentioned London being more of a players coach, before describing himself as not so much...agree it was an unfortunate comment

This one hurt being a non-grad.
Sadly, that might be the case right now. Will depend on who we can bring in from the transfer portal. This one hurt being a non-grad.
Keeps going like this and it will be a total rebuild.
No mention of Huesman, only October.Recurring theme.
I beg to differ 100%I beg to differ on the reasons for leaving. If we had been in the CAA next year, all of these players would still have left. The lure of moving up is the basis for these portal decisions. I hate to say this but if each of these players preformed the way that they think how good they are, we would be still playing. Best of luck to them all but most times you are better off being a big fish in a little pond! Bring it on class of 2025 and returning underclassman🏈🕷️🕸️
Can’t.I don’t”think”.I forewarned.32 please share your thoughts on why you think we are losing all of our best players then. And don’t use the Patriot league as the sole reason please!
Will someone please explain? We won’t be seeing any more 5th year seniors. The older guys in the OL have made a big difference for us over the last couple of years
You are a respected voice and are well thought of. The rest of us hope to see you back. This is my last post. DTSpider, I attended Richmond for 4 years, played baseball during those years successfully and have been a loyal Spider supporter for 44 years. I think that gives me the right not to be referred to as belonging anywhere except UR🕸️🕷️
Where they end up will tell us all we need to know. If to FBS, no problem. If to med to low FCS then we have an internal problem, either coaches or new conference.I will be anxious to see where all these guys land. Tough two weeks for our football team and supporters. These kids have been part of a winning program at a great academic institution. I hope we will start to get some answers on why so many are leaving. I guess each has their own reason but certainly hope some intense exit interviews are being done by staff to identify if there is a common theme.
Apologies ‘79. Know we’re all frustrated so realize my attempt at humor may have gone over poorly. Hopefully you’ll choose to come back. This is my last post.
