Mooney teams are just incapable of avoiding bad losses. Every single year we have at least a couple. Great teams don’t do that, but we do. It’s just really disappointing but no one can be surprised by it at this point.
We have 2 Quad 4 losses.
I'd say 1 max, and either La Salle or Hofstra need to climb out of Quad 4.
Are there any teams in the MWC that have had one coach and missed the NCAA for the past decade? Asking for a friend.at least some of you have adopted Mountain West teams to fall back on.

Yes, you can make all kinds of lists of teams that have gone to the NCAAs more recently.
Since October 2011, we have won 5 of 13. 2 Fordhams, 2 Duquesnes, and our best win a 19-13 GW.In my time of watching Spider hoops I cant remember us winning ANY big A10 tourney games. Every one we had to win we lost.
Off topic... Obi Toppin is fu yo watch on Knicks. Dayton had a good chance of winning it all last year.
Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad. I figured at least in one of the NIT seasons we beat someone in the A10.Since October 2011, we have won 5 of 13. 3 Fordhams, a 13-16 Duquesne, and our best win a 19-13 GW.
If there is an A-10 Tournament we will see what happens this year.
KenPom database keeps changing. I think it is 2 Fordham & 2 Duquesne...anyone have the right games?Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad. I figured at least in one of the NIT seasons we beat someone in the A10.

Definitely not pretty, but really the only two losses that stand out to me are the VCU losses in 15 and 17. Those are the ones we needed to get to go where we want to go. Just those two wins I think would have eliminated a lot of frustration in the past nine years. But, the bottom line is we needed them and didn't get it done. So, it is time to deliver this year and win the thing. That is truly horrific. And I was at some of those games but still didn't realize how ugly it is. Woof.
Only the 2015 vcu game would have put UR in the tournament with a win. 2017 UR would have had to win the auto bid because Mooney and his team crapped the bed in the non conference. I’ve made this point before too but the 2015 vcu lost shouldn’t have even mattered if UR just could have beaten jmu and GMU who were both horrible that year.Definitely not pretty, but really the only two losses that stand out to me are the VCU losses in 15 and 17. And he won while playing hurt! With strep throat or whatever he had.Don’t discount Jesse Pistokache’s big Simon Says win in 2017. That was our most impressive conference tournament win since 2011.

Oh hi, hater! Just getting ready to beat you guys twice in a week. We got cocky against SBU, they played on another level and whooped us, we made up for it against Dayton.Where's that Lion/VCU troll? 14 points in the second half. Whew.
Looking at Dayton's body of work, I guess Grant should resign now!If Mooney gets spanked by VCU and his pal Rhoadsy, it may be time for him to resign.
When Mooney gets spanked by VCU (yet again), he won't resign. He and Hardt will order a pizza and write their Philly consultant another retention check. If Mooney gets spanked by VCU and his pal Rhoadsy, it may be time for him to resign.
They've really been sowing their Oats in league play this year.Alabama is tearing up the SEC, and is favored by 6.5-7 over Kentucky tonight. Looks like we scheduled them a year early.
Did Tre Mitchell catch it in his shoulder?
sure wish we could have been the Billikens first game back after a 35 day layoff
So you are doubtful that we hold SLU to 2 offensive rebounds and 3 made threes?I can feel another loss is coming with St.Louis. hope I am wrong.
