Pending ABC approval, we will start selling beer at the Robins Center during men's basketball games this season. Never thought I'd see that happen!

Post of the day. Well played.I like beer. I drink beer. Sometimes I drink too much. Sometimes others drink too much.
What change? What did I miss? I don't think I did anything bad recently.@SpiderDaMan there's one of the changes I alluded to.
Beer is always bad. You never know when a home game in Henrico will become a riot. Man I wish our AD would allow beer in the Stu. Will never happen, but we can dream...Bad idea.
When you're coming off a 12-win season...guess you'll do anything to sell tickets.
This reminds me of the scene from Animal House when John Belushi (aka John Hardt) tells Flounder(aka Spider Fans) when facing adversity(aka Spider BB)"MY ADVICE TO YOU IS DRINK HEAVILY!!It's interesting...my wife shared this information on her Facebook page, and it garnered a lot of excitement from our peers. For a program that, frankly, hasn't had a whole lot for non-diehards to get excited about lately, this change has a lot of people talking (generally very positive with the younger fans).

Guess that's not surprising since we have a lot of older fans who will come no matter what. wouldn't be shocked if this move actually upsets some of them though. Guess we'll see what happens. i'm not opposed to being able to buy beer, it's just suspicious that after all these years they take the plunge now, when it's clear to everyone that mooney's job is on the line and there's little chance of being very competitive again this year.I can tell you that they've done an amazing job selling tickets so far, especially considering the disappointment of last year. On pace (prior to the announcement) to match last year.
may just be related to the new AD
Funding a buyout
All except PBR in the can...I assume beer sales will be suspended during the VCU game? For that game I agree with Ulla.
I've already had to have security assist VCU folks out twice without beer.... I really don't want to make that worse.
Beer sales to spider club members only.....membership will explode.
best way to reasonably control sales isn't a fan friendly one. exorbitant pricing. $5 minimum for a draft in a plastic cup. you can enjoy one or 2 at the game if you want, but most won't blow $40 to down 8 of them.
