4000 student, private school st. mary's has had 4 ncaa appearances since 2010 and in the conference final looking for a 5th. (they lead by 5 with 5:30 to play) Why can't we?

International students/players seems to be one key.

They whipped Mooney for sure.

Somebody's bubble just burst...

At least Gonzaga has the Automatic bid to the NIT.
The Zags are going to the NCAA no matter what. So now with 2 bids is the west coast conference the top rated mid major, surpassing the A10

SMC was also recently on NCAA probation, for violations connected with its international recruiting.

Randy Bennett is an outstanding coach. He'd also be long-gone from SMC many years ago but his wife doesn't want to leave the East Bay area, where he lives in a beautiful place.

I don't think the A10 has been the top rated mid-major for a few years now.

Many basketball pundits don’t consider the A-10 a mid major conference. It’s also not a P6. Somewhere in the inbetween...

This was certainly a down year for the A10. I’m still hopeful VCU loses (it’s a pretty constant hope) and the A10 sneaks 2 into the tourney.

Also, with the amount of young talent in the conference, I would expect next year to be much better. 3-4 bids.

I agree, A10 is on the rise starting next year. That’s why we have to get our program back on track now, not after next year.
