National and local media have written plenty of stories that he's on the hot seat. That linked article is a month old too. The ASU AD has acknowledged it all too, if u read between the lines, it sure sounded like he had Hurley on his own hot seat. Granted that doesn't mean he'll get fired. but mostly social media?...nope.

the biggest difference is he's been there 10 years, half of Moon era, and he's likely about to be fired and most want him gone. Mooney doesn't just keep his job....he keeps getting extensions! Also, Hurley still has as many NCAAs in half the time, add in Buffalo and it's 4 for 12. yeah yeah pac 12 all that. but ASU is no powerhouse, they've always been a lower tier P5. Comparing us to to VCU, and ASU to Arizona in hoops, on a relative basis, we are much much closer to VCU even though we get our asses kicked by VCU. Arizona is a blue blood.
GKiller's interns have a great formula...I can't tell u exactly it's super secret like the NET....but it's based on both data and intuition. and more. It's not pure win %, that would be dumb, some coach could be 0-2 lifetime and have a worse %.
we plugged Bobby Hurley in. a guy that has the coach K dookie dan hurley brother benefit of the doubt too and they still want him gone.
If Bobby Hurley was there 5-10 more years and sucked, he would be right there as worst of all time. he ranks very high regardless. But that's not how it works to be #1. And he's getting fired for those exact reasons! Chris Mooney gets 24 year job security, & the media think he's doing a great job. So does bobby beat our own Moon man...no way

What I am finding interesting even the anti moon guys are dropping off the board. Spider K MIA this season. Brooklyn out. Ply out. Guess they just see the light and realize they have to play the really really long game.
They're already a "Smokin' Hot Chicks" power, and you can only be great at so many things at once.
