2024–25 schedule

Here's every team with their preseason KenPom rating. Using the NET formula, here's how each game shapes up:

11/6 vs. Mt. Olive (NA)
11/9 vs. Marist (#237) - Q4
11/13 at Charlotte (#128) - Q2
11/16 at Bucknell (#247) - Q4
11/20 vs. Maine (#257) - Q4
11/25 neutral vs. Florida Tech (NA)
11/26 neutral vs. LA Tech (#107) - Q3
11/27 neutral vs. Ball State (#243) - Q4
12/8 at Auburn (#3) - Q1
12/14 vs Belmont (#171) - Q4
12/18 at W&M (#224) - Q3
12/21 vs. VMI (#359) - Q4
12/28 vs. FGCU (#207) Q4

So that's 1 definite Q1 game, 1 or two possible Q2's, 2 or three Q3's, and then 7 likely Q4's and 2 D2s. Brutal.

Here's how our non-conference opponents fared tonight:

  • Marist lost by 13 @ Harvard (KP #200). They were only a 2.5 point underdog.
  • Charlotte handled Presbyterian (KP #288), 88-79.
  • Bucknell won @ Delaware (KP #276), 85-73, as a 4.5 point underdog.
  • Maine was blasted by #7 Duke.
  • Ball State lost @ Georgia State (KP #189) by 5.
  • FGCU lost @ UNC Greensboro (KP #173) by 9.
  • LA Tech, Belmont, W&M, and VMI all cruised vs. non-D1 opponents.
Bonus: Mt. Olive lost to UNCW in an offensive showcase, 143-91. UNCW scored 81 in the first half. Hope the RC nets are ready!

So we’re playing a team tomorrow that allowed 143 points today? Sounds like we’re going to run them out of the building.

Mt. Olive gets one day off then plays another back-to-back. That is some brutal scheduling

I think the plan is to slow things down and be efficient, like a butter knife through slightly chilled butter. Never know when the real Mt. Olive might show up, better safe than sorry.

I'm unsure how you give up 81 in a half in college ball without an inbounds turnover/resulting immediate layup on half your plays.

Since both Memphis & NIL have been topics.

Of course it happens at Memphis that would have been the first guess of anyone. Now this guy goes on to his 5th school. Must be great guy for the locker room. Idk why worth much in fake “NIL”.

Still a great schedule tho Memphis. & won their 1st good game so maybe it’s addition by subtraction. tho a place like Memphis has high likelihood to combust regardless.

wierd. everyone else at Memphis is getting their NIL just fine ... except this guy?

Auburn destroys what should be a typically solid Vermont squad, 94–43.

Chad Baker-Mazara torched us while at Duquesne. Transferred to SDSU. Got kicked off the team for academics ( only player I have heard this happening too in the NIL era :):):): ) and got kicked out of NCAA game for throwing nasty elbow at a Yale player. Shocking he is involved. We will definitely have the moral high ground with Mooney v Pearl, but doubt it will help us much in the score.

Looks like the fighting players are actually Howard and Hudson. Howard is #3 in the below video, openly moping and standing around while other players are taking and making shots.

reminds me of an nba game I watched - wish I could find a clip - where Lou Williams was on the LAL and multiple times he walked up court, stood in the corner and walked back down, then repeated that, because Kobe wasn't passing that day. Because it was the NBA, no one cared or noticed, but it was still really funny. This freshman's body language is so terrible though, in what game 1 or 2?

Kenpom now has Auburn as #2 in the country. If they beat Houston on Saturday they could start to be in the convresation for best team in the country.
Any idea if KenPom will add our MTE before we play the games?
