Spider Bball Kids Camps

Tis the off-season. Do we still run summer camps for kids? I remember they had at least 2 weeks each summer (usually end of June and early August) where guys come back and help run the camp.

The camps are awesome and i attended many growing up. It’s also a good time for the players to practice and scrimmage during the week, and I remember intense battles where Mooney clearly wanted to coach them up but had to refrain from cussing somebody out in front of all the kids. Anyway camps are one of the rare times over the summer a lot of the guys are around I’m curious if anyone knows when they are this summer, or if anyone has kids attending?

Could someone please onpass to the UR football PR group.I’m tired from doing it.

Peter Thomas Elevated to Associate Head Coach

I remember being a little surprised he didn't have this title right off the bat since he had it for a number of years at Campbell.

Jakel Powell - 2024 Offer

We were supposed to have this guy in for an unofficial visit last August as a 2023, but looks like he's reclassified to 2024 and we've just offered. 6'6" SG out of Raleigh. FAU just offered a few days ago, but otherwise his offers look to be lower level and last summer, so not sure if they're still valid since he reclassified.

The challenges which lie ahead

A number of 5th- 6th year players are available to return if they wish.

Minimize transfer portal exits.I fear we may may lose 1 OL,at a minimum.

Keep Billy and Kelsey at UR with hefty pay package.

Keep most other coaches at UR.

Finalize Dec and Feb signings.

Raid transfer portal for seasoned players that can add to 2deep immediately.

Challenge is to make sure we replace Udinski,Herres and Henley with in-house players or seek same level players with transfer portal,

The US, Ukraine, Russia and Obama

This is the first time in more than 100 years that the United States has NOT come to the aid of a country in Europe, like Ukraine. Or for that matter, a country where we have a vital national interest, like Ukraine.
Think about that.
We rescued France in 1917; England and the Free World in 1941; and South Korea in 1950. Harry Truman knew the importance of deterring aggression.
Biden is a weak fool.

Eemeli Yalaho - 2023 Offer

I posted in the tracker thread earlier that Mooney had visited this guy yesterday, and now we've offered.

A 6'8" SF out of Finland, I'm sure he's been in touch with Goose, though they probably haven't played together on national teams given the age difference.

Playing at Western Reserve Academy outside of Cleveland and has been picking up offers from the likes of Mississippi State, Toledo, GW, Mason, Wyoming, Indiana State, North Texas, Campbell, and Central Arkansas.
