We were shuffling starters around so I can't remember who started, but Evans, Williams had just returned but was still recovering from concussion and a broken bone in his hand (later hurt his achilles and missed the rest of the season), and Crowfield.
Not a thing. Kinda like the Hofstra game this year had nothing to do with the Davidson game or any up coming game. Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth.
A) are we really talking some kind of s*** when VCU has owned us the past decade, and

As mentioned, VCU has done very well against some really mediocre teams. The resume stuffing portion of its schedule is now over.
@Eight Legger you're right, since the A10 seems so weak this season, hopefully we at least get to play SLU at home. I feel bad for Dayton getting last season's national title chance taken from them, they're a much different team now.
Davidson is better than VCU, +5 tomorrow is a steal. The perfect team to thrash VCUs bs defense
I don't understand the fruit salad reference. Your reading comprehension is suspect. My mention of Hofstra, Davidson games was to point out one game has nothing to do with the other. It doesn't necessarily define how good or bad you are,, just what happened on that day. Kinda like what does the results of 2017 have to do with now? You talk in circles. Maybe you beat us this year, maybe you don't. I know it won't be decided here by you or me.

I do not because I'm not. Experiences gained by playing the game reverts to the individual. Each game starts 0 to 0 and stands on its own. When the game is over, the game is over. The scorebook is closed and makes no mention of the game before it or after it.
@whampas but it's bigger than how simple you're trying to make it. It's a team sport. Experiences need to be gained as a team, not just as an individual. You need to build team chemistry, do things collectively to win. VCU didn't do that down the stretch last season. Individuals need to play well, but they also need to do things to make their teammates better. Those things can carry over to the next game, regardless of the scorebook closing. This is just one reason why the NBA has playoff series, which I wish the NCAA would do for the semis and national championship. If you played Hofstra again tomorrow and blew them out, even though a player who scored well in the first matchup didn't this time, but did other things to help the team, don't you think you would be saying the team did things to collectively play better? You wouldn't be saying the first game had nothing to do with the other.

I miss District Baller, he was the most passive aggressive troll out there. One concern for Davidson at VCU, when we finally applied defensive pressure late, Davidson couldn't handle it. Will be an interesting clash of syles.
Yep, pretty sure they got Covid on purpose. Isn't this what happens with all of the cases? I mean this is what we did earlier in the season right?

Ha, didn't mean they tried to get it. Just comes at a convenient time when they are playing a good team. They should be restarting things just in time to play us though.
I don’t think we should give people the satisfaction of responding to negative post from non-Spider fans. Their post our rude and do not reflect well on their institution.
I personally want VCU to do well. As an institution it has helped revitalized downtown Richmond and I believe their basketball program has significantly improved the reputation of the school, which forty years ago was absolutely terrible. VCU has been one of the top mid-major basketball programs in the country for a long time, which helps make the A10 a stronger basketball league and indirectly helps Richmond. Our overlap with recruiting is fairly low. They accept 86% of students and their ACT range is 21-28, which means they can take almost anybody with a pulse. U of R’s acceptance rate is 29% and our ACT’s are 31-33. U of R can’t accept many of the players that go to VCU, because they would fail out academically.
With all that said, I want U of R to destroy them the 2 games a year we play them.

The lambs don’t really press anymore, more of a half court pressure D. A smart, good shooting team like Davidson will make them pay for over aggressiveness if they can make shots.
There was general concern around the country about sending the guys home for Christmas, but VCU kept their guys on campus while ours went home. I haven't seen any data on whether programs that sent their guys home have had more issues since returning, but obviously that's not the case here.
Hey if Davidson is a decent win, look at fact they lost to Texas by 2 and Texas just wiped Kansas off Jayhawks home court today.
Parity is everywhere and as announcers said other night, Gonzaga is only true top team out there and a crap shoot with everyone else. No lost should shock anyone. Hey poor old Wake Forest only beat Catawba College(Div II ) by 8 this week.

WVU down 18 at the half to OU. They’re going to miss Tshiebwe and Cottrell.
