So we are still hanging on to that Kentucky win huh?
I think Neubauer is the most tenured coach in A10 following McKillop, moon and Schmidt. Hey he has all the same issues as Mooney...lack of admin support, good academic school, etc. Must have a Queally in his back pocket too.Fordham down 26 at the half to La Salle. This HAS to be Neubauer's last year, right?
Kentucky poised to fall to 1–7...down 9 to Miss St with 11 to play
Think some of their kids opted to go homeThere was general concern around the country about sending the guys home for Christmas, but VCU kept their guys on campus while ours went home. I haven't seen any data on whether programs that sent their guys home have had more issues since returning, but obviously that's not the case here.
Rhody was beaten before Fatts is throwing up a pray and gets fouled with 4 seconds to go in regulation and makes all three free throws to force overtime.GW with the win over Duquesne and the Hawks take Rhody to OT without Daly. Going to be some unexpected outcomes this year.
I had noticed that Evansville was picked last. It seems that the seasons our OOC looks strong to start the year, it goes down, and years we are complaining due to how weak it is, it ends up being much better. We need to start piling up W's in conference.UNI lost to Evansville again today. Evansville was picked to finish last in the MVC, and the poll wasn't close.
SIU were 7-1 before their back-to-back set with Drake. And yes, Drake covered the spread.Southern Illinois is 7–2 with a win over Butler. Drake is currently beating the Salukis by 35 on their way to 13–0.

didn't hear about the blown 26 point lead. what happened there?Watching SDSU, hideous loss to Colorado State two days ago, Blowing a 26 point lead , worst in MW conference history. Ever.
crazy. you'd think that couldn't/shouldn't happen. guess sometimes it does and there's not always an answer to stop it. .Got up 26 very early, probably shooting about 80 percent from 3. CsU went on a 19-0 run to cut lead to single digits goiing into half. Well coached team, would have been a good match up for us if the A10-MW challenge did not get nuked.
Time outs?crazy. you'd think that couldn't/shouldn't happen. guess sometimes it does and there's not always an answer to stop it. .
something wasn't working for a solid team to give up a 19-0 run. turnovers? rebounding? The difference is, SDSU has had two bad losses, other one being BYU - but in both games they came out playing defense like crazy - huge effort. Dutcher did get criticized for a few decisions on the SDSU board LOL. One that I noticed too. He put the ball in hands of PG that doesn't shoot FT's super, when he has a 95% FT shooter in the game. Dutcher does play more bench early and just keeps defensive man to man pressure on all game. What is crazy is that SDSU PG's are not very good - they have a good freshman - who shows flashes, but not quite there. Yet Dutcher makes adjustments from game to game, and saw interview with some of the team recently and all talked about DEFENSE and REBOUNDING being emphasized every day in the program. Mooney talks about it when it is brought up how bad we are getting beat on the boards, just soft.
And it is not mutually exclusive - playing tough defense and rebounding. You can do both and play some offense. Spiders offense is a little prettier than SDSU, but at least like watching a team play all facets, instead of freaking hardt having to discuss trying a new D with mooney. Joke.
Not taking enough timeouts?something wasn't working for a solid team to give up a 19-0 run. turnovers? rebounding?
They were coming off a two week covid layoff - UNLV had covid so they had not played for two weeks. Not that that is an excuse for anyone this year - but I think it caught up with them after there irrational exuberance start..something wasn't working for a solid team to give up a 19-0 run. turnovers? rebounding?
Yeah. I am going to take a guess that someone from the WVU program has no chance of getting into UR from an academic standpoint.Tshiebwe from WVU officially enters the transfer portal. Go get him, Mooney!
I know nothing about Tshiebwe’s academics, but that’s a dumb blanket statement.Yeah. I am going to take a guess that someone from the WVU program has no chance of getting into UR from an academic standpoint.
Pretty sure I have read on this forum numerous times how we are limited in recruiting by our academics. He is probably more of a fit for Broad Street, but either way he is too good for the A10.I know nothing about Tshiebwe’s academics, but that’s a dumb blanket statement.
