Thanks
A few on the roster I had not known about. 88 sure looks better than I had feared it might be.
JMO, but Milan coming back is huge. Gives Spiders four solid RBs.
Injury bug got Milan a couple of seasons counting the spring season and I have a feeling his good play last year might have only been a hint of how good he is. Dante Black same thing as far a hidden talent behind the good backs we had, and we know how good Smith is. Webb took his first carry for a TD as I remember, and all we know about him is he is good, but we really have no idea how good he can become since he was also behind Dykes and Smith.
Hope with these guys we can have good run game, would certainly make the learning curve easier on QBs early in the season.
William and Mary is only team that could run the ball vs Spiders last year and they had a four headed monster RB group.
I liked all of this but LOVED the last phrase.Guess this explains how we got to 88 on roster. These numbers are a pleasant surprise.
from today's email from Huesman to Spider football fans.
Part of the natural cycle of our program is continually building the roster to replace the graduating class, and I’m happy to report recruiting has gone extremely well. The next class will arrive on June 18th (Father’s Day) and will be on campus for summer school. The incoming class consists of 25 excited new Spiders! 20 will be incoming freshman and five will be transferring in from other colleges. In addition to these 25 new players, we also signed two mid-year players, who were on campus for Spring practice. This means our roster will have 27 student-athletes ready to play their first year for Richmond. I am confident this class will complement our returning team very well and feel we will have a deep and talented roster that is very capable of competing for the CAA title.
Thanks for this and all the updates. My bad.Should be 86.

Seems obvious QB performance is biggest ? mark going into the season. Really hoping Wickersham can fill the role and grow into a strong leader. He seems to have the tangibles, size and arm strength.Spiders look to quarterback Kyle Wickersham to keep ball moving
The primary probe University of Richmond representatives handle during Tuesday’s virtual CAA Football media day probably will be related to the quarterback position. Starting with, who starts?richmond.com
Don't forget satch, this kid runs like a big fullback, maybe we can get 32 to dig up his high school highlights; very impressive.
that's impressive...just worried about injuries...you're just one big hit away from a concussion, contusion or worse...Don't forget satch, this kid runs like a big fullback, maybe we can get 32 to dig up his high school highlights; very impressive.
We've done this before, but not this well. Believe it one of the best info/promo pieces have seen from our AD in some time.Interviews with the incoming transfers:
A+ to Anna and the AD for this one, If she hasn't considered she should consider a career in front of a cameraAnna has TV looks and smarts for sure.
They were good last year and will be again I suspect. They doin’ something right for a school with only 2,300 undergraduates
A total of 129 players make up the roster, but NCAA rules cap the preseason practice roster at 110. Furman has 12 graduate players, 19 seniors, 21 juniors, 20 sophomores, and 57 freshmen in its program.
Furman, a consensus first place pick in a pair of recently announced Southern Conference preseason polls conducted by league coaches and media, returns 20 starters, including eight regulars on offense, 10 on defense, and the squad's two primary specialists.
The Paladins count 29 players who have combined to register 410 starts in their Furman careers. Thirty eight of the Paladins' 44 players on the squad's final two-deep from 2022 return.
source?Stone Snyder back on the market, no longer at VT...
source?
He played QB at Monacan here in the area. Had good hands and could throw the ball. Always wondered why UR didn't go after him. At 6'3 and 235 he would be great on direct snap short yardage situations even if he came here as linebacker.Virginia Tech football: VMI transfer Stone Snyder no longer on the roster
