Seems that Tyler King, the LB transfer from Stony Brook, is not rostered and has since left UR and the program.

Tough loss. He was a very good player. He was due to enroll in January. Do you know if he came & left or never made it? In Huesman video to promote UR Here Giving Day & football update he referenced 15 fresh and but just the 1 transfer so far not 2...tho looking for more. So figured something was up.

no hints on his twitter account

Roster shortcomings:

1.Our LBs are NOT big.We have smallish LBs other than Wheeler. If Wheeler gets hurt it leaves our LBs with high school size.

2.We have no real depth at RB.We seemingly have recurring dings and injuries at that position because we have player(s) which are undersized and/or overused. We need an experienced RB with girth.

3.Our returning WRs are no taller than 6-1.We need at least a bigger/taller WR.We were spoiled last season.

4.If a starting QB doesn’t emerge from this Spring,we need to move quickly to the portal for help.

No wonder we have not gotten our fair share of commitments or commits because of the negative rhetoric plastered at every turn about our school.

The negative rhetoric is well deserved. Maybe you should direct your criticism to the leaders of the school making the decisions to host events like pleasure Fest or making comments about lowering expectations for the major athletic programs at UR.

Is UR actively trying to reduce football roster size? Or are we just having this difficult of a time getting prospective players interested in playing tackle football here?

I'm starting to think it's the prior.

In either scenario, it would be difficult to posit that we are doing everything we can do "compete for conference championships".

Glad to see Marlem made the list, well deserved.
Let's hope the DL group stays healthy for the whole season, I suspect it might be the group that is the deepest on the roster and is solidly two deep. Murray coming back is a huge plus. Grant, Stocklinski, Fitz, Barnett, Bryson are all very solid players. Not to mention the RSSo and RSF that have some playing time or are coming off season long injuries of their own.

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond Football team dipped into the transfer portal this offseason with the addition of five new members to the Spiders 2023 roster. The list includes FCS standouts in defensive back Quantraill Morris-Walker (Idaho State), wide receiver Isaiah Wilson (East Tennessee State) and defensive back Mikey Jarmolowich (Colgate), as well as FBS transfers in kicker Will McManus (Illinois) and Scott Hummel (James Madison).

88 rostered as of 6/7/23

Milan Howard at RB has returned as Gr.Had previously entered Transfer Portal.
Thanks

A few on the roster I had not known about. 88 sure looks better than I had feared it might be.

JMO, but Milan coming back is huge. Gives Spiders four solid RBs.
Injury bug got Milan a couple of seasons counting the spring season and I have a feeling his good play last year might have only been a hint of how good he is. Dante Black same thing as far a hidden talent behind the good backs we had, and we know how good Smith is. Webb took his first carry for a TD as I remember, and all we know about him is he is good, but we really have no idea how good he can become since he was also behind Dykes and Smith.
Hope with these guys we can have good run game, would certainly make the learning curve easier on QBs early in the season.
William and Mary is only team that could run the ball vs Spiders last year and they had a four headed monster RB group.
