I'm actually pretty pumped about Friday's rematch. The Rams gave us a pretty good game at the RC. They have a couple talented freshmen, especially Paschal. I expect that we will be able to lock down on him a little better this time than we did then, but he's still dangerous. Severe is always lurking as someone who can go off too.

If we can create turnover opportunities, we should advance.

Eight, a good assessment. We don't match up that well with them now without Zo, but Deion has shown that he can handle most big men. Go Spiders! Beat Fordham!

The other freshman Sengfelder was a load as well. Some good young talent, but we should be able to handle them again. We really turned that game with defensive pressure, so should be able to do that again since they will have just played the 2 days prior.

It is incredibly hard to beat a team 3 times in a season...the one thing helping us is Graham is playing on one leg.

FYI, we only played Fordham once. And i don't think they have a player named 'Graham'.

Pecora can be a tricky guy to play in tournament basketball. I hope we're ready.

That's a huge and misinformed reach-- and by the way, we played better against VCU than we did Fordham or George Mason--be careful what you wish for.

I love the possibility of a rematch with VCU with this format. VCU has to play and win, then they have to guard Kendall the next day when Kendall has fresh legs. Yes - I already set the DVR.

I don't remember playing Fordham when they had played each of the two previous days.

Have already taken Friday afternoon off and will begin the festivities around 1pm somewhere in the West End. Hurley's Tavern in Innsbrook is my new favorite spot for games, but I may do BW3 since it's closer to the house

While we match up well against VCU, the goal is to win the tournament. I think we'd be more fresh for the weekend, both physically and emotionally, facing either of the higher seeds.

Agreed. I'll take Fordham or Mason on there 3rd consecutive day of play over our 3rd meeting with VCU, which despite the fact that we handled them has more talent than Fordham or Mason.

Our goal now is not to beat VCU again, but to win the A-10 tourney, so whatever that takes.

I agree 97, bring on Fordham or Mason playing their 3rd game in 3 days. We have a distinct advantage with the double bye on Fordham, Mason, and RPI. I prefer to ay the team with the heaviest legs. If it is RPI we play, I think Grahm might really struggle on the ankle. He is not moving well anyway, and the stress on the ankle with 2 games in two days could be a big advantage for us. Without an effective Graham, I am not sure RPI can hang with us.

See, what Legger did here is he said "rematch with the RAMS" presuming folks would assume he meant VCU and not Fordham. It was tongue in cheek. Apparently this needed to be clarified.

RPI should go back to their original mascot name of Green Devils. Is more appropriate than Rams and besides that, two other "Rams' were already in the A-10 before RPI joined. We should have made that mascot name change a prerequisite before we were willing to endorse them for membership.

The Rams are going to be quite difficult. Don't forget that they will likely pack the house since their campus is only a few miles away.

The Rams are up 27-22 on VCU right now. Like I said, a rematch with them will be a pretty good test, but I think they'll be tired playing their third game in three days.

We barely squeaked out a win over the other Rams at home. Yes three games in three days but I almost think we match up better with our cross town rivals. VCU does not look good. I want them for the third time and much better for our profile of we beat them vs Fordham

Rams and Lambs tied at 30 at the half. Fordham 6 for 8 from 3 point line, but have 11 turn overs already and are in slight foul trouble only playing 7.

These players are so young, I'm not sure how tired they really get, playing consecutive days. Some guys do seem affected, others, hardly at all. I'm wondering if there is an advantage to shooters. Playing on the same court several days in a row, they are more used to the sight lines of the arena, than a fresh, new team.

I don't care about our profile because it is a very long shot for an at large bid. But I agree that I would rather play the Lambs as we would only have to worry about Graham. I am not scared of anyone else on their team right now. The Rams may very well be a tougher match up for us and I would not be surprised if they won today. If they cut down on those turnovers they have a very good shot.
