I guess "100% committed!!" in September was an exaggeration.

couple places say he's transformed his body. guessing not 265 any more. sounds like a late bloomer. would love to land him.
Tough to tell when he’s got multiple inches on everyone, but I like his ability to finish with both hands, and seems to have soft hands in the post.
Good or Bad sign Weir getting more interest from SEC. Good as I think this legitimizes him more as a big time recruit, bad b/c more competition. De-committed from Northeastern, but is he now looking for p5. Hopefully we are not stuck in that middle ground again.
We’re getting him on campus. If we can’t sell him on a role (grants back up for a year then starter as I think he’d immediately pass Grace), new basketball facility, good academics, gorgeous campus, etc., then that’s on us (I.e. our coaches).
think he'll like our style a lot. ball goes through the high and low post often.
he's seems like kind of a throw back old school banging big man. not sure he has perimeter skills but that might be good. I like him.

Now that I'm back in the groove here, I've updated the first post with 2021 recruit tracking. Verbal Commits seems to be doing a good job this year, although I did find one offer from last month that they don't have down for us: Casey Simmons.
Par for the course. (Note that that’s the Rivals AAU club, not the recruiting site we’re on here.)
We should refer to them as the Basketball Club of Rivals.
I like this, we have been recruiting the NEPSAC pretty hard lately it seems. Obviously we have Burton, and seems like we are being mentioned with a lot of guys.

We missed out on Tongue, no. 5 on this list. I saw Nate Santos, no. 6 on this list , play a couple weeks ago. Big time talent has Uconn and Illinois chasing.
Big athletic guard/wing in Simmons, plenty of spots to fill in 2021.

40% from 3 can can sometimes be deceiving in high school with the shorter distance, but it's not like he's got his toes anywhere near the line! kid can shoot.

2020 Djimon Bailey was a Wake signee who got his release after Manning was let go. We’re the first new offer he’s mentioned since then.
Nice to see us heavily involved with guys getting offers from other teams at or above our level.
