I want to start off by saying congrats to the players. I hope they enjoy the win against a tough St. Louis team at their place. First half was great basketball and Spiders looked good most of the game.
But man, even as I type this I still feel - even with 12 point lead with 2 minutes to go - that we never quite had this game in the bag. We were a Wojcik block (great no call) and a Bess 3 point shot hitting the rim at the buzzer from having the biggest collapse I have ever seen in my life. Even when we win, it still feels like we lose. The way we handled the last 2 minutes is all coaching. I hope Hardt doesn't just see the score line, but how it happened. We were out rebounded again and couldn't adjust to the press at the end.
Still, I hope our guys enjoy this win. They absolutely deserves this. But in no way did this game even remotely move the needle from Mooney's hot seat. We shouldn't even be questioning losing when up 12 with 2 minutes left and we were a few inches (Wojcik block and Bess 3 point shot at buzzer) from the biggest collapse I have ever seen.
