Yeah, thanks...was trying to do it too quickly.

Spiders move up three spots to 66 after last night's win. We moved past Georgia State (idle), Akron (idle), TCU (idle), Marquette (idle), and Wichita St. (lost to Houston), but we got leapfrogged by Toledo (idle) and Pitt (beat Syracuse).

Yeah, we may end up competing with them for a bid if things keep going the way they are.

With Dayton stumbling recently, we're starting to get some separation of the top 6, at least as far as the NET is concerned. Still early obviously, but will be looking for this group to hopefully keep winning to offer the best possible shots at quality wins. We're 2-1 against the group so far, with 5 more games to play...SLUx2, VCUx2, and @ Bona. Presuming we get all the games in, of course.

I'm not buying vcu yet. They have beat up on a bunch of cup cakes. I mean running through NC A&T, W. Carolina, jmu, Mt st marys, a bad Utah state team, and a couple of average teams in odu and Memphis just isn't that impressive. Plus, in conference they have played a bottom half Mason team and the celler dweller St Joe's Hawks who are 0-8. I dont see the quality wins on their resume. Time will tell.

The biggest thing VCU has done is avoid any "bad" losses, like our Hofstra game. Only losses are to WVU and Penn State, so those don't really hurt.

Still don't know what to make of Utah State...they played BYU tough and are now blowing out weak MWC teams. They'll be tested starting next week when they get four games against San Diego St. and Colorado St. Fortunately for the Aggies, all of those games are at home.

It's easy to avoid bad losses when your schedule is lined with a bunch of inferior cupcakes. I know they lost the LSU game which was a big one and that isn't there fault, but they finished their OOC with about the weakest run of teams you could possibly imagine.

For sure. They really lucked out getting into the Sioux Falls event at the last minute to at least give them some good games.

Give me 6-2 against all of them and I will take it, even if it means 2 losses to Bona. And, of course I would hope we would all take 16-2 with 2 losses to Bona.

They likely would have beaten Hofstra at home.

Next 4 games will be pretty telling for VCU - they play URI, at GW, at UR, and then Dayton. I would be okay if they go 3-1 during that stretch with loss to UR. But we will find out if they are a league contender after those 4 games.

Not sure how anyone would be underestimating VCU. Ok maybe at their current NET but overall no. Besides last season, when they were still decent, they r there year after year and take Mooney's and UR's lunch money year after year. As painful as that is to admit we have to look in the mirror. I'd love to see them way down, though this year if we're going to have a real shot we probably need their ratings. Beat them twice, prop us up and knock them down. They have earned the benefit of the doubt we haven't. While they've had some cupcakes they've shown enough in the 2 losses and solid enough wins over Utah St. & Memphis that I now expect them to be much closer to the top of A10 than the middle. That said we need to sweep.

They'll probably get covid for all but the GW game...

URI is the only one close to moving up a quad at this point. Loyola would have had a shot at moving to a Q1 with a couple of games against Drake this weekend, but that series has been postponed since Drake went on pause.

Hofstra is starting to drift toward becoming a Q4 loss. Hopefully Northeastern is just the cream of the CAA and Hofstra has better success against the rest of the conference after getting swept by the Huskies.

Bit of movement following yesterday's slate of games. Rhode Island still on the cusp of moving up to a Q2 win for us despite losing at UMass. We snuck ahead of Bona, though obviously head-to-head gives them an advantage if they're comparing us. UNI and Loyola play a back to back this weekend in Chicago.

Figure it's time for another update on the NET.

Spiders have been slowly drifting upwards while not playing. Top 6 of the A-10 is looking pretty decent, with Dayton and UMass trying to tag along.

The good news over the past few days is that we've picked up two Q1 wins thanks to Loyola and Davidson moving up in the rankings. Rhode Island has also moved up to a Q2 win, while Morehead State has moved up to a Q3. The bad news of course is that Hofstra has dropped to a Q4 loss.

Following the 42-point loss to Loyola coupled with a 5-game winning streak by Morehead State, UNI is now the lowest-rated team we've played. Never would have expected that.

Wow, huge jump for Loyola. I guess beating a not-terrible team by a combined 57 points in a back-to-back will do that. So, even though UNI has been a disappointment, they found an indirect way to help us out!

Would love for Loyola to keep winning, and hopefully they get Drake rescheduled.

Our resume looks a lot better this Monday!

That is good news, especially since I expected the reverse, for Loyola & Davidson to start as Q1 and drift down to Q2...

Three teams passed us last night - Syracuse, Pitt, and Seton Hall. The latter actually lost, but only by 2 at Villanova.

Non-P6 Top Teams:
2 - Gonzaga
5 - Houston
12 - Drake
16 - Boise St.
17 - Saint Louis
19 - Colgate (this is a travesty that needs to be addressed)
34 - BYU
40 - Utah St.
41 - Loyola Chicago
46 - San Diego St.
47 - VCU
50 - Winthrop
52 - Furman
55 - Richmond
57 - St. Bonaventure
58 - Wichita St.
59 - SMU

#53 Pittsburgh and #55 Richmond are the only Top 80 teams with a Quad 4 loss on their resume.

Davidson staying just barely above that 75 line - they should destroy Fordham tonight.

I'm so tired of seeing VCU above us on lists, year after year after year....

Are you saying this is not a resume worthy of an NCAA 5 Seed?

Colgate Raiders NET Team Sheet at Bracketologists

And why is it rated so much higher than Lafayette?
