that Greg Marshall, UR masters, gets some love from the power 5 conferences. the key is for him not to chase the money down a dead-end alley or rabbit hole........alabama, az state, type of deal. not that he could not win and maybe big any place he goes. will be interesting, his teams are well coached and extremely tough mentally.

Saw this interesting article about hot coaches right now from the NCAA tourney.

One name on there I think would be good to keep an eye on in case UR is looking for a coach in near future- Andy Toole from Robert Morris. Looked at his bio - played at Penn for Fran Dunphy - so he knows the academic side that would come from UR and has produced some big upsets in his time at Robert Morris.

I would also think Miller from Dayton will be getting some looks as well. Back to back NCAA appearances with an upset win this year and elite 8 last year. And this year - he did it with no player over 6-6.

Marshall would have left by now if he was going to leave. He's got a good thing going at Wichita State. If he leaves, I can see Shaka leaving, too.

I don't know what Wichita pays him, but assuming he is pretty well-compensated there, I am not sure whey he'd be that quick to leave. That school is a diploma factory, so he can get anyone he wants, he's taken them to their highest heights ever and he is in the tourney every year.

And cost of living in Wichita has gotta make whatever he's getting paid go a long way. I'd be loathe to give that gig up unless it was a high major where I knew I didn't have to reload a program.

good point Eight, but you saw his players, do you think any of them got a sniff from kansas? he is still playing with good players not great players and maybe he would like to have a shot at them and am sure he is competitive and would love to see how he would do against the big guys every night out.

Does Tommy Amaker get any looks. He does a nice job with huge academic restrictions. Just wondering.

Amaker's wife is a professor or has some high-ranking position up there, and that has always been used as one reason why they stay there. He could have any number of jobs if he wanted them, I suspect. It's been long enough since he failed at Michigan that lots of teams would welcome him back to that level of competition.
