Kellan Grady - 2017 Offer

We offered Kellan back in May and he took an unofficial visit to us in August. Haven't heard much about him and us since then, but wanted to give him his own thread to track news and updates.

He has a boatload of offers (mostly in our range and a bit below, along with some Ivies, so academics are strong) and took an unofficial visit to Davidson this weekend. They have offered. Based on his Twitter, he's a huge fan of Steph Curry, so that could give Davidson a nice leg up when it comes to decision time.

Kellan may have missed the boat with UR. With the committment of Bryce for 2017, one would think that the Spiders would be looking now for a front court player. OSC

Quick update on Kellen...he names Davidson, Butler, and Villanova as his leaders, but it looks like out of those only Davidson has offered so far.

Although I like size a lot, and feel we could use more size in our 2016 and 2017 classes, we also cannot have too many guys who remind us of Seth Curry. We could win a lot of games in the A-10 with 4 or 5 Seth Currys on the floor, even all at the same time. Besides, we love guys who are versatile, and who have strong academics, and a guy who is 6-4 and can play the point, is probably also an outstanding ball-handler and passer. Enough said. We may not have a spot at this moment, but you also never know if someone else, who may already be here, may decide to move on. I don't usually like to see guys transfer, but we have had several "good" transfers in the past 2 years (Smithen & Diekvoss, etc.), so it is not beyond the realm of possibility that we might have an opening, in 2017, at the 1/2 guard...

McKillop would seemingly be playing the Steph card very well in this case. Would say we are out of it, but another example of a top recruit strongly considering the A10.
