Forecast for Longwood Game

The key will be looking at our first 3 games together before the team goes to Fort Myers. With such a young team that will rely heavily on Golden, Gilyard, and Sherod - it will be key to get the young guys lots of minutes in these games and see how they do Expect a lot of ups and downs, so we might win one game by 20 and the next by 2 - but but the key is come out of those 3 games with a 3-0 record. It will be ugly at times and I am sure at times we as fans will say this is the year, but remember the competition is weak, and our guys are young - so it will be a rollercoaster. But if we can get to 3-0 before Fort Myers, that puts them in a good spot for two good games in Florida.
I suspect that you will see Wojcik differently after you have seen him play. He can play either position.
More important than minutes here will be who the Top 8, maybe 9 players are. A few were missing for the HSC game. If youre not in that 8 or 9, and you havent yet redshirted, you will certainly be pushed to do so. If we have a big enough lead and we can substitute freely, alot will be learned by who does NOT come into the game.
I vote no redshirts. If you can't crack the top 10 why do we want to extend your scholie. Plus there should always be competition for the top 10.
We have had previous discussions on this board about treating other posters with respect.
Stating "You have no clue," which Ulla1 has now done to me, to NotAHomer and to several other posters, is flat-out disrespectful and in my view has no place on this board. If Ulla1 had all the answers, and knew exactly who will play, in what positions, and how many minutes, and how many games we will win, then there would be no need for other posts.
How do the rest of you feel about posters who directly attack another poster (as "clueless") rather than taking the time to indicate the REASONS why they disagree? I'm OK with Ulla saying why Woj will not play any minutes in the PG role. I am not OK with him posting that anyone who disagrees with him "does not have a clue." Anyone have opinions on this?

Had a post deleted recently when I said that Ulla had become bitter recently so I totally agree.
Certain posters are allowed to consistently call out others with no repercussions when others would get warned or banned if they did it - seems to be ok as long as you’re on the pro-coach side
Well stated Oldie. I am on ignore by Ulla I think so I do not get his attacks. Additionally, his "no clue" statement does not make sense. Does he think the coaches son does not have the ability to play point?

Next time my kids are playing Clue I'm going to add an option for Mr. Ulla, in the Forum, with the Keyboard.
I wouldn’t read too much into the “no clue” insult from the guy who thinks every recruit we sign is great and every one we lose is poor.

While I generally appreciate Ulla's insight, I thought it was a bit dismissive.
Has anyone noticed how many tickets are available for sale to Friday's opener?
Unless the athletic department plans to drop several thousand tickets on a local elementary school or two prior to Friday, appears we will be far short of a sellout.

@Marley13 I'm a bit frustrated with your comment. I deleted yours, as it was a response to Ulla's, which was deleted. After removing your post (to eliminate the copying of Ulla's original post) I even went so far as to send you a direct message explaining that the delete had nothing to do with yours and everything to do with Ulla's. Above, you're making it sound as though you were unfairly targeted.
At the end of the day, we have a lot of posters, a few of which require more babysitting than others, and we have two moderators. If you're offended by a post you see, flag it. That puts it in the inbox of the moderators, so we can address the situation, if necessary. It's pretty soft to not use the tools we have and then complain later.
And if you all are really offended by Ulla saying you don't have a clue...well...I think you probably should thicken your skin up a bit. Just my $0.01.

My only problem was the deletion of Ulla’s post when so many of the same were kept. Wasn’t offended by Ulla at all.

i'm worried about Ulla, his have no clue comment about someone saying a guy can play point guard as well as a 2??? Not a controversial comment?
Slow start for the Spiders as expected. Gilyard with a big and 1 to get to the free throw line. Spiders up 7-4 early on

Practice, practice, practice. Run'em until they make them. That's on the coach.
Spiders looked strong to start the half but Longwood has come back. Tied at 51. There was a brief few minute stretch where we went for offensive rebounds and managed to get several second chance points. For the most part, we make no attempt for offensive rebounds which still perplexed me. Gut check time for the spiders. Need to grind out this win
