97, not so sure about that. After all, Aleem has a P5 offer so sought after by Andre. OSC
I really like Aleem and this not a knock on him, but It is generous to call Rutgers P5.
True, a Scarlet Knight may play against big time programs, but they don't play for one.
On a positive note (for them), Rutgers isn't in last place in the Big 10. They're 0-12, but Minnesota is 0-13! Nice hire of Pitino's son by Norwood....
Totally McShay could do it and he could pull the stunt of the throat clearing aside - Wesson a Spider - so we would not get in trouble with the NCAA because McShay could claim he was clearing his throat.
The irony is if Wesson gets his P5 offer, we probably aren't getting him. Whereas, if he doesn't, I think we do land him. But yeah, Rutgers is P5 and name only. We should be insulted if Aleem chooses Rutgers over us.
no we shouldn't. just like no school should be embarrassed if a prospect chooses UR over them. each kid is making a huge decision. a lot of factors go into that decision. sometimes it just feels right in your heart, even if your head says something else. my advice ... go with your heart. if that means we win ... great! if that means we lose out, so be it.

Spot on, K! Really is true. OSCThe only Jersey kids that go to Rutgers are the ones that don't get in to Princeton or UR.
He still doesn't have an OSU offer though. He was there last night I believe for Mich game...
Not a whole lot to like from a Spider perspective in the latest update...OSU still looking at him and apparently wants to see a couple more games before a possible offer. Unsurprisingly seems enamored with possibility of playing for OSU alongside his brother.
Apparently X has offered as well...speaks highly of them but hasn't been able to get down to a game yet.

Seems even the OSU fans don't think they'll offer him. But if he goes to a prep school, we're done.

According to a source close the Andre, he does have a Xavier offer, but they aren't really recruiting him. If Andre was smart, he would realize that these P5 schools don't really want him. He is their backup plan.

So what does that mean about XU? I mean, if he has an offer, he's being recruited and can take the offer, correct?
I'm presuming this means they've offered him but don't expect him to ever see much playing time if he takes the scholarship.
Exactly. They also offered his brother on the same day, IMO it was a ploy to try to land his brother.
Believe Xavier offered last summer, before Kaleb committed. I could be wrong though.

Wesson is not coming to UR unless he ends up with no better offer. The more time goes by, the more obvious that he has already passed on the Spiders.
Agree. The season the Spiders are having sure didn't help getting him and probably has done the exact opposite.
Ford hasn't exactly jumped on our offer either!
Wesson said all along he'll decide after the season. let it end and we'll see. of course it's less likely after sitting behind the OSU bench and after being offered by XU. it would be tough for any kid to not stare into the brighter lights. but it wouldn't shock me at all if he decides UR just feels right, much like the others in our next class did. we've got a great locker room of teammates and an outstanding university here.
if you sell our chances short here, I feel you're selling short the decisions made by the other recruits already in this class and the next, too.
