A10 2022 Tourney in DC ...

Mind-boggling, truly. We have the horses to run. We play much more aggressively when we run. We generate more turnovers when we force the other team to run. We get more open slots when we run. We don't pass the ball 26 times each possession when we run. So naturally, Mooney hates the thought of running.

I don’t like our chances against a press after gilyard and Burton had to play 40 and 38, respectively, yesterday

Voice needing major recovery with associated headache due to somehow hanging out with 3 Bonne fans who mutually hate VCU until 130 am at bar near hotel. Day 2 of our miracle in DC and thankful I will be in the mgm national harbor poker room during the day and not at 830 tonight. Go Spiders.

I'm happy to get the win but that first half was I think the worst, most un-inspiring half I have seen us play in a long time (maybe ever). I would have hated for the season/their careers to end like that.

We always miss early shots due to nerves in these kinds of games/arena settings and other teams do too. But I really just don't understand how the players can come out that flat when the stakes are SO high.

We cannot do that tonight, or it will be embarassing in a different way than last night was.

I don't understand how nerves are still a factor when you have been playing D1 basketball for 5 or 6 years yet still game after game we prove the moment is always too big for us.

We have to cross our fingers that Burton got all of the "misses" out of his system last night. The whole team needs to spend a better part of the afternoon practicing free throws.

Should be fun tonight. The "Due Theory" says that it might be Mooney's time for a victory over VCU. On average, he is taking a little less than 1 out of every 3 games. Of course, the "Crosstown Ownership" theory says that in a critical game, VCU wins and advances.

Tough start last night but it isn't how you start, it's how you finish. I'm hoping they got the jitters out of their system and have some fun tonight. Go Spiders!

Enjoy it. This is March Madness. The Second Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

Couldn’t watch,
Looks like Gilly added another 5 steals to his record. Another slow start, I don’t understand that. Good win for the players

It was a slow start. We didn't wake up until about 5 minutes into the 2nd half. We also had a slow finish, 5 points in the last 3 minutes. We had 10 possessions in the last 3 minutes. We scored no baskets at the end. Our points were free throws.

High generally - only play poker these days but assume here even during day low craps is 25 or maybe 15 and likely same for bj … ah the good ole days of staying at the Trop in mid 90s thru around 2010 when we moved our annual reunion to Vegas … where we will be next week unless the Spiders are playing in Buffalo

Ha. First vegas trip in 2000 during march madness stayed at the Trop. What a dump, yet so great. Heard it might be getting demolished.

I've stayed at vdara too. Nice rooms. It's a little odd not walking thru a casino to get to your room but good in sense it maybe eliminates the last second before I head to the room betting.

Interestingly, VCU is only favored by 2.5 points
I stopped gambling on sports a few months ago. I think Im coming out of retirement for this one. Just the fact that we played a tough game with many of our key players going the whole game says this is an easy VCU win. But there is a reason I quit gambling on sports.

I watched the kid from Lafayette we r pursuing. Grace is more athletic. Though sman thinks he is great because it helps the save mooneys job narrative.
we need a big man transfer. I hope we attract someone better. I don't think we will but I can hope.
