You know why JMU does not have an issue with getting transfers/grad transfers and UR does? It's called a "Cost of Attendance Stipend ". JMU gives it to players and UR doesn't. UR does give it to MBB and WBB because the A-10 says they have to. CAA does not have that rule. If CAA did then maybe it would level the playing field for all teams to compete for those players. P5 schools give as much as 4k per year to each player. When a kid is used to getting that money for 4 years then looks at dropping down to FCS they still want the money.

Mooney’s contract strikes again...hard to pay for everything else when you’re paying 1+M for nearly a decade without any NCAA appearances

The decline of the football program happened around the same time that Mooney started sucking the athletic department's bank account dry.

amazing you can spin everything into Mooney.

The decline of the football program began when Keith Gill became athletic director.
you can read about the damage he did while he was here right here.

Basketball (Malcom Bernard, Josh Jones), Football (AJ Hines-denied admission, David Broaddus), Baseball (alleged fantasy football). On every one of those occasions, the teams/athletes lost.

That doesn't even count the BS he probably pulled on the other sports as well.

Actually things started heading in the wrong direction when Ayers became President--he finally got his yes man when he hired Gill

How quickly/easily one forgets why we hired Ed Ayers and how things were at UR at that time.

Liberty QB Brandon Robinson headed to FCS Rhode island

For the second time in a month, Liberty has lost a player to the football transfer portal. Permanently.

Last month, Iowa State confirmed the addition of Liberty’s Alex Probert. The placekicker had opted to leave the Liberty football program early in the offseason.

Nearly a month later, Brandon Robinson announced on Twitter that he has decided to move on to FCS Rhode Island. The quarterback had opted to transfer out of the Liberty football program earlier in the offseason.
