Top 25 ranking

I thought this tread was over for the year after our loss to Hofstra, however we still seem to be hanging in there with votes in both polls. in The ESPN College basketball Power Rankings we are currently a respectable 32.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bpi.

Our SOS has been a lot harder than many give credit and currently ranks 47th.

Honestly there are some lazy voters out there that probably shouldn't have the honor since they don't take it seriously enough especially early on. seen it for many years both hoops and football. That can both help and hurt the Spiders, right now probably helping us tho w some residual votes.

Closer we are the better but the date to look would be Jan 18. If we win the next 4 that's when we'd have a legit beef. That is our next realistic chance and it requires winning the next 4 of course.

Unsurprisingly, no votes in this week's AP poll. SLU enters the poll at #23, but nobody else getting any votes.

I think we're officially off the radar at this point. It'll be hard to get back on it.

Good one - GK - radar and regatta - so a rising tide lifts all boats, what does a sinking tide do? Grounds all boats - and low enough - leaves them unable to float......................

vs URI, vs VCU, @ SBU, vs LaSalle, vs SLU, @ Dayton

those are all in the next ten..seems like a tall order although thankfully the majority of the toughest games are at home at least

Idle SLU dips from 23 to 24 in both polls this week.

But the big news is...we're back on the radar! We got two points in the coaches poll...good for 40th.

SLU just barely hanging on in the AP poll at #25. No other A-10 teams getting votes.

Believe it or not, we're moving up in the coaches poll...we got 9 points this week, which would be 36th place.

SLU dropped out of the poll this week. They got 66 points, which would be 28th. No ohther A-10 teams are getting votes.

I think as SLU and now us have demonstrated that catching COVID seems to get you points in these polls.

Told you guys the VCU plan was the way forward. Now we just need to get healthy, kill Lasalle and St. Joe's, go on pause until the end of the season and claim our #4 seed.

Bona starting to get some votes in the polls. SLU moved up to 22 in AP and back into the coaches poll at 24 thanks to their undefeated record this past week.

Bilas ranks us 38th, VCU 39th, SLU 41st, Bona 44th, Davidson 64th. He's got Loyola down at 55th.

Richmond has not quite lived up to its preseason billing, but the Spiders are right there in a wide-open Atlantic 10. Blake Francis (16.6 points per game) and Grant Golden (14.8 PPG) have been great for an effective offensive team, but the true leader of this group is point guard Jacob Gilyard, the nation's leader in steals (3.8 per game) and steal rate (5.7%).

2/15 polls...

AP: VCU with 10 points in 38th place, SLU right behind them in 39th with 5 points. Loyola holds steady at #22.

Coaches: SLU tied for 42nd with St. John's and Boise at 2 points. Loyola holds steady at #23.

No votes for any A-10 schools in either poll this week...ouch.

Loyola moves up one spot in each to #21 AP, #22 Coaches.
