Yep, pretty sure we wouldn't be getting shut out on the ESPN Friday night showcases if we made that move. Obviously, that won't happen for many reasons not the least of which is we are incredibly bad at creating publicity and media attention.

I got a call from Katie Hill yesterday morning thanking me for my support of the women’s team. Really incredible to see them take the time to call and thank donors. I can’t wait to see them continue to play their way into the top 25
I got a call from Courtney Swider. I'm pretty sure I surprised her when I pointed out she'd made two threes in the previous game. She couldn't have been any more pleasant and the call (with no money ask!!) was appreciated. I also got the same kind and quality of call from Jada Green last year.
We also doubled from 2 to 4 in the coaches poll...whoopie.
Next week's polls will include the Oakland and Oklahoma State games in Daytona. Oakland won't move the needle if we win that as we should, but Oklahoma State would be a nice win to kick off the monster back half of the OOC schedule. They're not getting any top 25 votes, but they're 6–0 against a fairly weak schedule so far and are expected to be solid. They beat Fairfield in Stillwater right after we did, but they only won by 2 at home while we won by 23 on the road. Take from that what you will at your own risk.

I watched, or sorta watched, on Baller TV- made FloSports look good. No announcers - and many frozen screens
Her ankle injury seemed minor and she was back practicing with the team 2 or so weeks ago. I am hopeful she’ll be back by Wednesday for our very tough stretch. Ideally tomorrow against Ok State but unlikely if she didn’t play today. If she’s not back by conference play then it might be worth the discussion of redshirting like Camden did.

Good to get Ullstrom going today in time for the tough part of OOC. She is a great shooter but had been in a little bit of a slump the last few games. But appears she has shot her way out of it just in time!

Upcoming games - Georgetown at home should be a closer game, but one the women should win. Followed by Columbia, which will be another tough game - they have played a tough schedule as well - so that game should be close as well. If the women can win the next 2 games - and then win 1 of the 3 majors vs. Texas, Tenn, and Alabama - they should continue to rise in the voting. Another key thing is if they do lose - don't get blown out. I think this plays a bigger role in women's hoops because sometimes there can be such a big disparity in talent between the a top 25 team and someone just on the outside of the top 25. So keeping these games close and competitive will also help.
But so far - the women have handled their business and they have a schedule that even without an A10 win - could get them a bid this year.

I was thinking the same. Win the next 2, which won't be easy. And then win at least 1 of the next 3, and I'll be pleased. Win 2 of those 3, and I'll be feeling over the moon (not to be confused with mooney, obviously feeling better than that shitshow). Win the next 5, and we'll be ready to take on UConn (and still lose by 20)!
