Looks like we are 3.5 point underdogs against this Sun Belt conference foe - crazy how low we are right now. USA is 5-5 with all wins against other bottom feeders. Honestly nothing would surprise me at this point, but if the team has any pride they will take care of business against the "Jagwires" tomorrow.

Suppose a hoops team wanted nobody to watch their games. After scheduling a High Point game in a WNBA Arena in the DC projects and "televised" on Facebook Live.... and then scheduling a game at South Alabama at the same time as the College Football Playoff, what would they do next?
You would even not post the game time on your social media
Wasn’t the original game time supposed to be 2 pm? Obviously, the game is now 4 pm as noted by all.
Based on this year's results, that's pretty aggressive scheduling for Mooney. I'm thinking ODAC, FRS has been right all along. Fruit cake all around.
Mooney has paid the ESPN+ announcers $$$$ to say he is a great coach repetitively.
How about “A seasoned team like Richmond, they certainly hit their free throws” ????
They have 6 or 7 dunks in this game. I think that's how many we've had this decade
Thoughts on the game:
Positives:
1. Nice balance of scoring this game. Scoring 91 points is a good indication of a versatile offensive game.
2. Solid free throw shooting, especially at the end when South Alabama kept putting us on the line.
3. We didn’t choke away our lead
4. Did I see an effort of offensive rebounding?! Spiders had some nice offensive rebounds when I watched the 2nd half. We need more of this.
Need to improve:
South Alabama was scoring on will when driving to the basket and dunking on us. If they did that the entire game, the outcome could’ve been different. Also, if we were to ever play a team that wasn’t 300+ RPI from Sun Belt conference, they would punish us in the paint. We need to have more size and strength in the paint and defend that better.

At the end of the day we finished 6-7 in the most cupcake cream puff OOC schedule. As far as I’m concerned, Mooney is still squarely on the hot seat. We need to finish top 4 in the A10 and win the A10 tournament championship for me to be ok with Mooney staying another year. Still, it’s nice to see us win comfortably these last 2 games against teams we should be beating comfortably.

Didn't see game but looking at stats excellent game for Spiders with 3PT and FT shooting. Appears SAla got points in the paint but score says UR handled them easily regardless. Only negative for me was bench received only 18% of the minutes.
Definitely a great game by Wojcik. Very happy to see he found his shot in this game.
Also got the needed performances from Gilyard and Golden and solid offense from Cayo.
As spiderstudent17 said, there were way too many clear paths to the basket for dunks. The defense was rather poor and CM even said so himself on the post game report. Fortunately the offense was hitting with 3 players with 20 or more points.
Also on the minus side was the play by Gustavson. He didn’t have many minutes because of the poor, out of control play including at least one telegraphed pass allowing an easy steal.
Overall, a decent game for the Spiders given that they did have time off for Christmas. The team is definitely improving, but there will be some cringe worthy games when the team gets overpowered inside.
Next up A10 play.

It is concerning that only 18% of the time did the bench play. It’s just the same old story
Easy to make free throws with no pressure, they only miss them when the game is on the line.
