Just watched the replay of Friday's game. Impressive that we beat up Emerson Hancock like that. He's a possible first overall draft pick in this year's draft. Despite blowing it, that game bodes very well for us. Let's steal one today.

5-4 Georgia top of the 9th. Playing pretty well in the series. If we fail to score here we will have 2 one-run losses to the #4 team in the country.

For anyone in the know, any chance of us having a decent BP this season? Not seeing it this weekend, with late inning loss Fri and also today's. Had real opportunity to take 2 out of 3 from #4 team in the country (assuming pre-season national rankings mean anything).

Georgia is legit. I would take this series as a positive in the sense that we really should have won 2 of 3 on their field and that we knocked around the top collegiate pitcher in the nation. The negatives of course are that we blew them both. But there's a lot of promise, I would say.

Hope you're right. Would like to see us once again become a good program.

Really liked what I saw from Dominic Toso, our 3B transfer from Bucknell. Very good hitter. Also our UVA transfer catcher Drew Blakely went 5 for 10 at the plate, with 4 hits in the first game (a few against Hancock).

DeLarso got the loss and blown save in Game 1, but both runs he allowed were unearned. We'll have to see how he fares moving forward. He's basically new to the closer's role.

split with Lehigh today, won the series, hopefully a launching pad going forward.

The team is really struggling--how much did we lose off of last year's team? I know we lost our catcher.

This was Coppin State's first win of the season, having lost 3 games to the Citadel and 1 to Navy. They had scored just 12 runs all season, yet scored 11 on us. We had only 2 hits, the 2nd coming in the bottom of the 9th. Things are not looking good in baseballville.
