But remember - if Longwood makes the NCAA, they will get a big payday from the NCAA payout - and Aldrich will get a big raise - no reason Longwood wouldn't bump him to say 400K - now that 700-800K while double is that as big jumping from 150K.

But lets be honest - Aldrich is not coming here. Recruiting and admissions alone would stear him away from UR.
 
That's a pretty even payout. Basically - if you win and make the NCAA in the big South, the only difference is you get 100K than the rest of the league. They really spread the wealth.

Again - I don't think Aldrich is our guy, especially since I think he likes transfers and I don't see UR admissions liking that strategy. I think if Longwood makes it - he will get some calls. Probably on UMASS List - but a little further down.

i mean…if it’s in print at the RTD is has to be true, right??? This article is just an advertisement for why to root for VCU and not UR. Unbelievable that we think this is a good thing.

So JOC what's the new standard? Vcu, GMU > Temple, Xavier? Mooney cutting you off at the knees a few years back appears to have landed a bit higher.

You could see this article coming a mile away based on the pre-tournament press conference...JOC set Mooney up perfectly for this.

That article shows that Mooney is going nowhere and JOC is positive of that. He doesn’t want to lose access to Mooney for two years. That should get JOC to retirement hopefully.

Part of why it’s harder to make the NCAA’s from the A10 is because the A10 isn’t as good a league as it used to be. Part of why it’s not as good a league anymore is because you have programs like ours that should be a lot better that are massively underachieving. God I hate this program.

Exactly, the A-10 is shadow of its former self. VCU is now the flagship program of the A-10? How sad is that?

JOC likes his access and he intends to keep it. We have no legit media covering us, just a bunch of old dudes nearing retirement who are to lazy to develop real content, so they push out mediocre BS like this, supported by nothing than their own conjecture.

JOC can probably write all of this crap for his lazy-boy. If we made it to the NCAA, he would have to get off his ass and actually do a couple real stories on us.

And the ironic thing is that despite carrying Mooney's water with article likes this, Mooney still treats him like his own little b*tch anytime JOC asks something that Mooney even perceives as critical.

Wow, we can see it coming. We are in the middle of a PR campaign, each day topping the next, with the end game of that dreaded tweet from JOC announcing Moon's return. Then Hardt goes back in hiding. Mooney goes on a two week vacation during hot stove transfer portal season. We have a bitch fest on the board and burn ourselves out, and life goes on in spidernation.

I think JOC formally received the memo in DC last night. If u noticed on TV feed Moon celebrating & hugging his family last night right after game like we won the title, it looked like Mooney’s wife just realized they have another 1.3 milly coming to them.

I absolutely saw that and thought it a little overboard for just beating a very bad team. You may have something there. I could see the $$$ signs is Mrs. Mooney’s eyes!

Never thought Lange was in jeopardy. I think the pandemic put them back - but I think he gets 2 more years to turn things around. I think if St. Joes makes the NIT in the next 2 years - he gets extended.

Meanwhile - Rhode Island has fired their coach after 4 seasons. I wonder if other A10 programs firing their coaches makes UR admins bunker down and go with the consistency approach - just one more reason for them to keep Mooney.

Welp, pre Hurley, Rhody was in the same situation as us. In fact, their fan base just referred to Baron as CFL, Coach for Life. So maybe, they now realize it is better not to wait 10-12 years. Though watching the end of that Rhody first round game, boy they looked bad.

Cox still had a higher winning percentage than Mooney and visited the Big Dance as Mooney watched. We are so far behind, I don't think we'll ever catch up.

Sorry fellas, misread his bio and gave him credit for some of Hurley's accomplishments when he was his associate head coach.
