Pretty day to run errands then play golf. Predicted on here we would score 45-55 points and lose by

There are 2 possible responses.
1) Fire Mooney and go all-in on being a consistent top tier A10 contender
2) Move to Patriot League and give Mooney a serious pay cut.
#1 is what the vast majority of Forum members want to see.
#2 is what the administration and AD are signaling.
It really is not that complicated.

20 years in, biggest beat down in this rivalry game in history, 9-26 record, 6 VCU coaches in those 20 years stealing moon’s lunch.

Problem is, Coach is consistent in his philosophical approach to the game so he can be bad in any league.
well he got his ass beat by vcu too. anyone who played under Mooney did.
it was a miracle that Mooney didn't have this record already. let's be honest the worst rivalry coach of ALL TIME deserves that record too. Now he has it. well done coach. worst rivalry coach ever adding to his resume.
Now 9-26 overall, 2-15 at VCU. And his average loss is now by 16 points. Average. That's insane.

OK, I only watched maybe half of the game because why the hell would I subject myself to that. There is a lot I could say but the thing that stuck out most to me was we had to fight as if our lives depended on it to perform the most basic of basketball tasks. It was shocking to see. If the main two things you want to do in basketball are score points and get stops then we struggled to do the most basic things that lead to the things that lead to the things that get you to those two main results. This was JV vs the Varsity team, little brother against big brother. What a pathetic display. FIRE MOONEY
Commentator of course giving accolades and mentioned winningest coach in UR history. Never would but would be nice to hear his other dreadful stats at UR.
I guess our AD Hardt would say - The game against VCU was "uneven".

No way man, Mooney would hire someone even worse than he is. Although if that is what it will take to remove him from the damn coaches seat then maybe I could accept it.
Well, would you like him to look down the road at William and Mary and take another Princeton guy in Earl.
Didn’t we wait a year to hire Hardt so he could retire from Bucknell? This seems nothing more than a consultation gig for him.
