We’ll see if a week off is good or not pretty quickly. Off the top of my head I think ‘breaks’ haven’t been good for us in the past (including holidays) Any more knowledgeable opinions.
General rule: if you’re playing poorly or are injured, breaks are good. If you are playing well and are healthy, breaks are bad.
Brackets the first week of January are the ultimate click bait. It would be like the MLB coming out with playoff match-ups at the All Star game. Half of the season left, and then conference tournaments and auto bids are handed out. Lunardi must be getting paid by the bracket these days.
One's knowledge is like one's opinion. It is so ephemeral. One day it is here, the next day it changes. A will o' the wisp, or not.
I for one like to see us in projected brackets. Click bait or not. The more we're in, the more solidly we're in, the more likely we'll also be in great shape with committee.
MLB has standings, there is no committee picking teams. Even still there are plenty of MLB media who are predicting who will make the playoffs at all star break and potential matchups.

Duq is in there b/c they r leading A10 standings technically at 3-0. Lunardi considers the 1st place team as the auto bid for now.

1/14 bracketology - the Spiders missed a great shot with the home loss to SLU. VCU with their own home loss only moves down a couple spots into last 4 in vs. last 4 with byes.
Duq again in bracket as a placeholder.
So far this has been money very well spent. Sort of like 10 year contracts that produce nothing.

Not even on Lunardi's radar apparently. Except when he goes to the bank. Still a lot of disrespect for his own league too. But I can see tonight where VCU makes their move unfortunately. Think we'd be upset of always being second fiddle in our city. Gotta go take it. I'm going to be looking for Mooney to cup his mouth dropping the F bombs a number of times. That will be a good sign.
Should have hired Andy Katz. He has us as his 3rd team out 1 behind SLU. This was updated today so after the loss to SLU.

The segment didn’t go on too long did it?? It felt really short to me. Hope u didn’t miss anything like a crazy flagrant foul on Grace.
Anyway when asked - during a Spiders game no less - I did u guys a real solid. I can’t remember exactly what I said since the interview went on 5 times longer than expected but I believe I said the Spiders r creeping (crawling I missed the pun) around or in the ballpark.

Hi, Joe! I especially liked how they put the game action in a really small picture window so we could see your full-sized face (even when you weren't talking) and absolutely no meaningful graphics on the bottom third of the screen.
The phrase you used was "knocking on the door." Perhaps you mixed up your metaphors, as Spiders obviously don't knock. It's easy to get nervous on TV. Please do let us know when someone answers the knock with a "Who's there?"

Remember I'm Italian and it was right after the holidays! Plus as they say the camera adds 10 Ibs. Tho my good buddy John Hardt tells me it adds 100 Ibs.

Thank you kind sir for the wonderful update! I can smell it getting closer. I have a good feeling that after we beat Dayton by 11 points we will be on the right side of the bubble!
Only explanation is the bad beating we took against Radfiord. That gave the skeptics the chance to say ... ahh same old Spiders.
We are 4th, 5th, or 6th in the A10 in just about every ranking system. That's the explanation.
But why are we ranked there? Because we lost to Radford. We were NET 21 before we lost to them.
To two pretty good teams though... Alabama just crushed Auburn and SLU is in OT against Dayton. Radford is the one that doesnt pass the stink test.

U did better vs. rest of your schedule b4 I got involved but shhh don't tell Jabba. Or Philly Bob, he worships me. Doesn't matter anyway because I have a fully guaranteed automatic renewable contract. I'm even smarter than those Spyder apparel lawyers! But forget the schedule guys, I'll use my platform to push your case. Right? I gave you the tiniest blurb on a national tv game that you were playing in! How bout ya.
