Khwan is 9th on the team is scoring averaging 3.5 per game on 37.1% shooting. He is also averaging 1.2 assist per game and 19.9 minutes. Has he increased his chance of going pro in Europe than if he stayed at UR averaging 15 points a game on 50% shooting?

Seems like a lot for backing up Wocjik.

Yeah really. Isn't UR80 the poster who started the Jake thread but he contributes 8 PPG in 30 minutes but KF would get 15 as a backup.![]()
He'll get a chance somewhere, and I doubt his chances go down by transferring up for his final season of eligibility.Last year he average 11 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assist per game. I seem to recall that his numbers picked up in A10 competition. I think he would have gotten a lot of playing time this year and his numbers would have improved. Might have lead to a pro career. We certainly have sent a lot of players to Europe.
I think his Louisville stats are going to make it hard for him to go pro. He might have made a bad career decision transferring. We shall soon see.

Bazinga.Questions/Thoughts:
1) Does Khwan Fore prefer playing at Chapel Hill, Cameron, the Carrier Dome and ND, or does he miss playing at A10 High School gyms like Lasalle, UMASS, and Fordham?
2) Does Khwan Fore regret that he plays for an NCAA team, or does he wish he played for a team with a losing record whose fans are posting billboards in an effort to get the coach fired?
3) When Khwan Fore left UR for Louisville, did he give up his chance to be an NBA lottery pick?
4) Is Louisville's arena a better atmosphere on a typical gameday, or does Khwan Fore miss that Robins Center afternoon gameday environment where they truck in all the screaming school children?
5) Is Chris Mack a better coach, or is Coach Mooney a better coach?
6) Did Khwan Fore do Richmond a huge favor by transferring, since according to VT, we are better this year without him?
7) VT replies -- "I never said we were better without Fore. I said we were a better team without Fore AND Buckingham".
8) Are we on the NIT bubble?
9) Are we remotely close to any bubble?
10) Next year -- Best team ever.
UR80sfan - Khwan graduated in 4 years, gave his all while here, by all accounts was a good representative of the school, and is a beloved Spider. There are a contingent of Spider fans that appreciate what he gave and choose to follow his career further.
My question to you - why not just ignore the posts on this thread? If you resent that he left, thought he wasn't that great, or whatever the case may be then just let others come here and discuss how he's doing rather than trying to tear down his accomplishments or point out his negative stats each time he has a bad game or Louisville loses.
Calling a fellow alumn a traitor? He spent 4 years at Richmond and gave everything he had. I wish he had stayed but he earned his right to choose his next opportunity. There are a number of people on this forum that want to hurt the basketball program in order to get Mooney fired. I’m not going to go into each of the ways, however one way is to encourage our players to transfer to a better conference, because they can play in front of larger audiences. in better arenas and get more national exposure. These type of fans are cancerous to the program. There are many wonderful aspects of being a Spider and our basketball alumni typically talks glowing about their experience at the University. In addition, we have sent a significant number of players to the to the pros, including during Mooney's term as coach.
I will support any player wearing a spider uniform regardless of what our record is, however if a starter transfers to another school I will not welcome them back on campus and will consider them a traitor to our program.
Going to college is all about preparing yourself for the best possible job when you graduate and I think he made a huge mistake in transferring by significantly lowering the probability of having a pro career. Having the ninth highest average and shooting 35% for the field are going to hurt his chances going pro. I hope he enjoys his one year at Louisville, because he is giving up a lot.

Ok, just to make sure I understand this, are you suggesting that there are fans/alumni who were out whispering in Khwan's ear that he should grad transfer? Or are you just generalizing that having a thread on a guy who has gone elsewhere is likely to popularize the notion of transferring up to another program and therefore we shouldn't discuss such things in an open forum. There are a number of people on this forum that want to hurt the basketball program in order to get Mooney fired. Both seem patently absurd, but I'd like to make sure I'm properly interpreting your assertion.
There are a number of people on this forum that want to hurt the basketball program in order to get Mooney fired. Bull****. Name one person who wants to hurt the program. I’m not going to go into each of the ways, you can't, because it's not true however one way is to encourage our players to transfer to a better conference, because they can play in front of larger audiences. in better arenas and get more national exposure. Going to college is all about preparing yourself for the best possible job when you graduate and I think he made a huge mistake in transferring by significantly lowering the probability of having a pro career. He graduated. He fulfilled his obligation to the University. Nobody is bound to their undergraduate school for grad school. Having the ninth highest average and shooting 35% for the field are going to hurt his chances going pro. I hope he enjoys his one year at Louisville, because he is giving up a lot. He wanted to play at a higher level and have a chance to play in the NCAA tourney. Had he stayed, that's what he would have given up. "You want a chance to play in the tourney and make a lifetime memory? Tough **** kid, stay or you're a traitor." Nice.

So I don't know what the combination is, you've not provided any evidence that someone is proactively suggesting these guys should transfer. If you have an example, please provide it. And just because someone said that some of our players "could" transfer up is vastly different than they "should" do so, or worse, that the poster "wants" them to do so. I've seen no evidence of anyone stating they want Grant or Jacob to transfer, much less anyone else.T-bone, it’s a combination. There have been a number of posts that insinuate Grant and potentially other players would be much better off at a higher profile program. Relative to this thread there are insinuations that Khwan is much better off somewhere else instead of our measly program, which I find insulting to U of R and completely wrong. If people feel that way they should leave the Forum and start rooting for another team at one of these better programs. Everyone involved would be much happier including them.

I am confused again -- I read/hear that nobody cares what the people on these boards say because it is only a few disgruntled/grumpy posters talking to themselves, but now we are told the same group has enough influence that they can convince players to transfer through nothing more than insinuation.
This is such a soft statement. Are you David West? This board is read by many of the players and their parents. I am sure they do a good job of blocking most of the comments out, but they are human and some of the comments will have an effect of them.
If this is true, then maybe one should not call a former teammate, alumn, and friend of the players a traitor and that he’s not welcome back at Richmond? This board is read by many of the players and their parents. This assumes the fan base is satisfied with the direction of their program and are jilted by it as opposed to feeling sympathetic.I can't think of too many fan bases out there that would cheer on a grad transfer after he leaves their program.
Then they're living in the wrong era, sadly. But I don't think anyone is out here saying "We hope Jacob and Grant transfer" either. That's a pretty big leap. Every Spider fan I know wants them here another two years. Not really. Players do care. Shoot, Kevin Durrant cares and gets bothered by what others think. Most players can handle criticism, but when Grant and Jacob have monster games, I would think it would bother them if they heard we were talking about them transferring instead of how great they played.
This assumes the fan base is satisfied with the direction of their program and are jilted by it as opposed to feeling sympathetic.
No one said anything about convincing.
You left out grad transfer who left our program. I can't think of too many fan bases out there that would cheer on a grad transfer after he leaves their program. If Khwan would not have left, I bet many of you would say other fan bases who cheer ex players who left are soft, and praise the ones that get on ex players as passionate fans. You are way too predictable sometimes.
If this is true, then maybe one should not call a former teammate, alumn, and friend of the players a traitor and that he’s not welcome back at Richmond?
