How to celebrate Mooney as U of R’s all-time winningest coach?

I get that anti-Mooneyism is at its highest, and deservedly so, but of course they’re going to acknowledge and have some sort of celebration. I hope it’s not over the top, but the school would be stupid not to acknowledge/celebrate a coach becoming its all-time wins leader.

When you have an absolute disaster of a coach like we do, you just don't mention it. If you do, I can assure you there will be an uproar.

To me, it will be interesting if it is Walsh or Hardt that hands Moon Beam the commemorative ball.

Are we 55-17 when we go to the NCAA and 184-181 when we don’t?

William & Mary was happy to get rid of Laycock, their all time winning coach.

And to tie that back to Tarrant he was the one who recommended Laycock hire London originally in early 90s as assistant there to really get his career going. Give Tarrant another W. Moon man still needs another to tie.

Nope. Was at a Max-Planck Institute in Germany.
you really missed a wonderful time we overachieved, filled seat (with paying adults, and it was before we reduced the number of seats) NIT and NCAA bids were regular I think one period of 6 years with missed post season once, And yes we played but also had to recruit for the CAA but look at our schedules. plus ODU, VCU GM were all part of the CAA, Mooney can win more games but there is absolutely no comparison.

I admire your loyalty but the last 'play' (or lack there of) of the Wyoming game should help convince you this isn't working. we can't change players or schools but we can and should change coaches.

Well no game is a guarantee. Losing to two teams within in the state of Virginia. First Longwood now Hampton.

I am wondering.
What is the fewest wins with 200 losses at the same school?
I could see someone 600-200. But has anyone been 250-200 and still been there to get to that 200?

Well....Shafer is currently 215-198.

Per Wikipedia our friend Tony Shaver over at W&M is 212-251 as Tribe head coach.

Not sure if others are worse he was just the first name that came into my head.

I don't know how we are going to honor him, but I'm not going to miss this train wreck. Only problem is it could take us several weeks of heading to games for this final victory to push him over the edge. If we are getting steamrolled by Hampton, who are we beating. That Coppin State game might be a must win for Mooney at this point.
