thing about st louis is that they are stupid big down low and it's hard to beat them there. it'll likely be the difference.
If I were our coach I would bench Golden until he showed at least a little bit of effort on defense or to rebound. He refuses to jump or box out. He wastes more energy complaining to the refs than playing defense or boxing out. It's really a joke that it has gone on for so long without being addressed.
At least his hair isn't messed up yet. Frozen by whatever spray he put on. What a lame ass coach. Fire him 10 minutes after this is over and make him take the Greyhound back to RVA. Just can't lose a game like this when in the lead. Just can't.
Not surprising. St. Louis is the farthest team away, and most UR fans have given up on the team.
Same old story . . . no rebounds for Spiders, parting of red seas when SLU drives to basket, and our guys cannot play through contact. This is why we've lost games down the stretch for 14 SEASONS, must less this year.

This was the epitome of a Chris Mooney coached game. In every possible way. PLEASE, John Hardt, make this the last game he ever coaches at Richmond!
WOW, two terribly coached teams. Nice end of game possessions by both teams to throw up a terrible shot. Good effort by the guys, saw some nice stuff. I do think we can have a good team next year with a new coach.
Well, this season of torture is finally over. FIRE MOONEY, so we can actually start winning again!!!!!!!
We just watched a coach manipulate the whistle by crying the entire game. Travis Ford switched to that agressive 1-3-1 and press and Richmond had trouble getting the ball inside the 3 point line after that switch. That was the ball game.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
We knew we were going to get out rebounded and out hustled. We knew they would make a change in the second half (1 3 1 trap, getting ball out of Gilyard’s hands) and that we would not. We knew we would tighten up down the stretch.
None of that changes next year.
Now we wait.

Actually, we need guys that can rebound. This team doesn’t and I don’t see it next year either
Time to root now for a team that knows how to play D, puts teams away at end of games, and simply wins . . . go Hoos and win NCAA tourney!

Many of us have said all season that you can't play Gilyard 39-40 min a game and expect him to have anything in the tank come tournament time. Criminal of CM and his coaches all season, and team paid for it last 2 weeks.
