Hey Chris - Roche is in the lineup at the end so that he can launch and win the game for us. Col of Charls has seen months of film on Tyler, but not on Roche. Just saying ....
Plays to not lose at end of games. We had all the momentum at the end and he stalls. We are who we are.
Hurrah they showed heart to even force OT, much less have a chance to win it in regulation. But when we look back on this at the end of the season, or even in the years after that, it will be a loss in Mooneys loss column. That is not disputed.
used those timeouts twice while we had momentum after a made basket. Theoretically to get our defense set and both times gave up the game tying basket. .
Anf of course we gave up huge offensive rebounds. A huge number and in huge spots.
we have some kids who aren’t ready for a game like this and a coach who really isn’t going to help a team like we have in a game like this.

You can't go up five in OT on the road with under 2 left and blow it. You just cannot.

We didn't roll over and die at least but such a flurry of mistakes to close out the game. Who is that on?
Taking away some positives:
1. Team fought back. Says something that we were able to weather a 21 point deficit on the road
2. Tyler Burton remembers how to score
3. Jason Nelson looks great (minus the end there)
4. Matt Grace is Matt Grace
Negative:

I think there is going to be a lot of tape for Nelson to look at for this game. He wasn't making the best decisions on offense.
Jason Nelson was terrible at the end of the game. Not sure where you are getting your point #3 from
Well, that was a horrible way to win a new ranch…
it was definitely CM's fault that Goose fouled a 3 pointer shooter. You could hear him on TV say, "foul the 3 point shooter". The perimeter defense was lousy in the first half. That is what set up the problems w. leaving #2 open and the boards.... that was much better in the 2nd half, but you can't foul the 3 pointer in regulation and you can't give up a late and 1 up 2
I just looked at stat line to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Not a good name from Nelson, particularly in the second half and OT.
I'm not going to take away his great first week of the season is all I was saying. I see a lot of potential with him. I should've been more specific
Honestly, I’m still really upset about the refs at the end of the game. Just terrible to watch.
They called how many flops on the Spiders? And how many on COC?
How was that not a flop?! Literally the definition of it after calling it twice on the spiders.
The and1 to let them go up by 1 was terrible. And Burton got mugged at the top of they key without any call.
Goose’s call was questionable but that’s on him for giving ref the option to make the call.
Nelson will be a good player for us.
Guys I’m not saying otherwise. I think he’s got skill but he did not play well tonight.

But I was saying hitting his first 3s of the season (like Grace) was a positive.
Same old, same old. We find new ways to snatch defeat from victory. Tough loss after fighting back.
Nelson Is a freshman playing his first college games and his first games on any kind in 18 months. But our vets made some bad plays in big spots and the experienced coach didn’t shine either.
Wow, looks like SDad liked this post. I guess he thinks we have better options? Seriously???? And, imagine if this gets back to the locker room. "Hey Goose, Dji's Dad liked a post saying you don't belong on the floor." I mean, what the heck, man? Be smarter than that.

That was just a great college basketball game. Guys for both teams made plays all over the place. Tyler was absolutely amazing!! Hard to be upset at all after that one. Fun game to watch.
