Atlantic 10 Conference

Not the second coming, but we are getting better. Play better half court D than in the past, more inside presence, we switch defenses and we're getting much better PG play now than compared to early in the year.

Still have plenty of work to do and find more scoring options.

Both teams have lots of work to do with RPI ratings of 97 and 100 as of this morning according to ESPN.

Still love this league though, no reason to look for an alternative..........

Did you have to get Ulla started again?

Lol, not necessarily, but I know many VDU bandwagon fans that think Wade can divide 5 sheep and some box wine and feed all of Costco.
Definitely aware of what you're talking about haha. The Rams supporters can definitely get carried away with optimism.

All A10 teams on notice. There are no gimmes especially on the road. I'm very nervous about tomorrow on the road against an improved Rams team. When your two best teams in conference go down to the two worst teams on the road, it certainly served notice. Gosh I hope we don't all play ourselves into two bids.

Watching GW vs UMass on Comcast, two of the better A10 teams, and there are fewer people than at the St. James (Grant Golden's school) vs Goretti game I attended on Saturday. Sadly, the A10 is pitiful. OSC

Out of curiosity, why does that make the A-10 pitiful? I'd say that makes either GW or UMass pitiful...

Flip on over to CBS sports network for Davidson-Dayton in being played in front of 12,000

Watching that game. Davidson not shooting well.Gibbs is a ball hog and will shoot 40 times whether open or not.

We are a lot like Davidson this year. If the shots aren't falling there isn't any defense to fall back on.

I am hoping Mooney finally finds some time for the freshmen when we are blowing out La Salle tomorrow night.

Come on, don't you want to hear him say on the radio show next week how he really wanted to get them in but then forgot or couldn't really find the right time, and how he needs to get better at that??

The difference are free throws, sound familiar? Gw made a ton of threes but crapped the bed at the line

Yeah, the A10 stinks so much that tonight Lunardi said he expects 4-5 A10 teams to make the Dance....

+1 spiders student17! Great points about how to schedule in order to maximize RPI, yet still not have to face too many top 50 schools. It does sound like Davidson managed to inflate their RPI, purely through scheduling savvy. However, once conference games get underway, it is hard to hide. The A-10 is fairly well balanced this year, and it will still be necessary to beat the top 4-6 teams, in order to make much of a post-season statement. Davidson is likely to be "disrobed," so to speak, when they start playing on an equal playing field with everyone else.

However, for our game scheduler, please do cut and paste stuent17's entry, above, and see if we can schedule fewer below 250 teams and more 150-200 teams. That, at least does seem to work out much better, if our aim is to impress the committee!

The cream will rise to the top, however, so if we are truly better than Davidson, which I believe we are, we will have our chances to prove it on the court.
