I'd love to see us sign a real transfer who has 2 or 3 years left. Most likely anyone we get at this point, other than Bryce, is not going to contribute much of anything next year anyway, so let's find someone who will be ready to go in 2019-20.
we'll only take one HS senior at most. not going to have a 6 man class. Roydell makes sense joining the 2 man Nick & Buck class. a grad transfer would make sense too.
23, am unaware of Sy visiting UR; maybe others have heard something. When did Sy visit? I believe I saw that he visited Siena and Northern Iowa, when did Ulla get the chance to chat him up?

Nathan for whatever reason, I get the feeling that he wants to be closer to home. Hope I am wrong.Well this doesn’t make me feel good about our chances. We haven’t gotten him on campus yet? Not a great sign, but maybe now that we’re out of the Bryce sweepstakes, we can focus on Sy.

Nathan, I can assure you the coaches are working VERY hard.Very well could be. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes that we as fans don’t see. I hope we’re working on him though, especially getting him on campus.
I’m also one to assume we are doing all of this. With 2 scholarship spots open, I would also assume that means no sleep for anyone in the men’s basketball department for the foreseeable future. Long days, lots of work to be done, gotta fill those spots with quality players.
So he has no high major offers per VC which I think is generally pretty thorough. The basketball season has only been over for a couple of weeks but I think he’d have more interest showing if P5 were lurking.Yes, what the heck are we waiting for. Would think that we SHOULD be an attractive option. I have a feeling this recruitment is stuck in the mud. One of the articles mentions his play senior year was getting him some high major looks.
We're not getting this kid.
That is the CYA way of thinking by many on this board. If you buy into this way of thinking our top targets in years past were guys that transferred down levels and/or failed to exist in the basketball universe upon leaving Richmond. If we’re not interested why did we offer him at all?
2020, targets change in time. Perhaps there is another recruit that has replaced Sy as a primary target. Just don’t know.If we’re not interested why did we offer him at all?
The signing period is April 12 - May 16; still plenty of time.April 12th and still no one else has signed on...not a great start.
There are others. This seems to be the only good player we are currently involved with. Mooney needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat here.
