Rocco mentioned in connection with UD job

if Russ has a million dollar buy out for any team taking him, he must want to stay put or if not, waiting for a power 5 suitor, which will not come. he is staying put and if delaware paid $1million to get him, would fire the prez and the new AD.

Michael Axe is a bad doctor. Find new neighbors.

I've forwarded your comment to Mike and his son who now work in the same practice. He came back and said "at least he didn't call me an empty suit".Axe's work on your All American basketball player has proven quite successful.Doing well in the WNBA.
I'll work on finding new neighbors immediately. What are the HOA fees in your trailer park?

One thing that was mentioned on the UD board, and has been mentioned here as well, is that if Rocco really wanted to stay, a contract extension would have been done already. Rocco would not be talking about exploring his options after the season.

This, combined with the fact that no announcement has come from UD, definitely is a reason for concern.

Assuming DR leaves who will he take?

Cosh
Rojas
McCorkle
Belin
Mines
Kotz
Stewart

Does Garrett get the top job or does he go somewhere else?Would like to keep Cosh too.

Everyone else stays.DR brings in his son from WIU.

Sintim goes too which is basically the whole staff. The AD will want to pick the new coach and Anyone new wants their own people if possible
I hope he says but I still can't get over it's such a lateral move and will be his last most likely
God knows what has been going on..

just to be realistic here, if DR has taken the hen job then he is not working at 100% for us no matter what he says. have been through too many of these deals myself and attempted to be with my current employer 100% until the end, just not possible and you don't see it until you are gone and look back. we saw this with London as well. know they both feel like they are doing their best and may be but you have made the move mentally and nothing you can do about it. just hope he is just waiting until the season is over to look at things and has not made any commitment to another school. we may know in a couple of days because if he did commit and we lose, the announcement will come quickly.

If Rocco does leave for the Hen House, I believe the list of assistants that follow him up there will be smaller than some might think.

If anybody thinks Rocco is currently giving less than 100% to the Spiders, he doesn't know Rocco. He's in the National Quarterfinals. No matter what happens after the season, this is huge. No matter his feelings for anyone in the UR Administration, he loves these kids and they love him. He knows any coach only gets so many shots this deep in the playoffs. This could be a huge part if his legacy.
IF, and it's a big if.... IF we get by EW tomorrow, I like our chances against either YS or Wofford. I guarantee you Rocco and his staff are working as hard as they ever have.
I just left the player hotel. It is all business. Walk through today was cold (around 20 degrees), tomorrow it should be in the high 20's by kickoff, the field is hard and frozen. These boys came to play, these coaches came to win. I hope I get to witness tomorrow the day the Spiders extinguished the Red Inferno.

wolf, am sure, if DR has taken the hen job, thinks, feels, he is giving 100%, just saying, he won't know different until he departs and looks back on it. mentally, he has moved on whether he realizes it or not. we won a couple of games in the playoffs with london too. still hoping he remains which means he is giving us all he has got no matter the outcome on saturday out there. am not questioning him at all, respect the heck out of him and all our coaches but that does not change the dynamic if, a big IF, he has already accepted another job.

LOL, point taken, but changed the course of the discussion, would not hurt my feelings, and I believe his name will show up on some lists this season

I attempted to reply back in what I though was humor, but the post was taken down shortly thereafter by the moderator here to prevent the very insular and fragile sensibilities of this board from being offended. Tootaloo. Enjoy the groupthink.

Wolf do we have extra shoes to match the condition of the playing service?

Talking to a few players yesterday at the hotel no one mentioned anything about any footing issues, a couple mentioned that the field was very hard, assuming it was so hard because it was frozen. Also the forecast is not calling for any more snow until tomorrow, so the field should be plowed and cleared for the game, though still presumedly hard.

Local news just showed the presently "WHITE" field being plowed.

When we played at Montana we had footing issues because our cleats were too short or the wrong size.
Right, you need natural turf shoes on frozen artificial turf. We started with artificial turf shoes...

Can't say trailer park, it's a derogatory term that might offend somebody..................

Game is pretty much over. I guess this thread is going to get a lot of posts over the next few days. Hopefully won't be a London type departure.

By definition, it is hard for it not to be a Londonesque exit. Regardless of the facts, the appearance overrules.

If we truly did wear the wrong type of cleats for a frozen artificial turf, and if there are posters on here who know what kind SHOULD have been worn, who the heck made the decision on what cleats the team would wear? Somebody should take the heat for that decision, and hopefully we learn our lesson and REMEMBER it.... Could it be that we WANT this season to end today?

We wore the wrong cleats to prevent our QB from turning it over 4 times?

Huh? Do you mean wearing the wrong cleats in Missoula in 2000?
