Rocco mentioned in connection with UD job

I think he's already gone. I don't think there is a chance in hell he tells his kids he's talking to UD tomorrow if he has any expectation that he even MIGHT stay. Just zero upside. If he feels he has to say something to them and he actually thinks he MIGHT stay, he says only that he's talking to UR admin. tomorrow and he really hopes it all works out. That doesn't undermine anyone if he stays and its the truth (which I think matters to DR).

This from coachingsearch.com

Delaware: Richmond head coach Danny Rocco will meet with Delaware officials about their head coaching job on Monday, according to the Richmond Times Dispatch. The Delaware News Journal adds that Chattanooga head coach Russ Huesman is also in the mix. Even if Rocco doesn’t take the Delaware job, a coach is expected to be named this week. Keep track of FCS head coaching changes here.

This thread is only 17 pages long. Some of those AWIII threads were dozens of pages long, as I recall. In fact, it's probably time someone started a new one for him. I heard he is unhappy at Syracuse...
Second semester is coming soon...

So, either Gill or Rocco is gone this week, right?

Can we talk to Huesman too?

we can carry this thread on to discuss how we got where we are (kept DR) or the new candidates (DR goes)

he comes back and tells his team that UR is a better job, a better place and he wants to be with them. that would be great. you cannot blame any person for looking at opportunities and the players know that coaches are moving all the time.

is certainly appears from all report from up there that the discussions took place long ago and today is maybe the handshake or the "no thanks"..............stay tuned

I'm taking Danny at his word until proven otherwise (which maybe really quickly). I think he is evaluating his options. The vision comments and meeting with Dr. Crutcher last week were meant to see if he could move the needle in the areas it needs moved. Plus word would have leaked out after yesterday's player meeting.

Not surprising that he may want to look at Temple as well in evaluating this options. What does seem apparent is that the ink is not dry on the Delaware deal yet.

Guys, please. We need to get this thread to 20 pages. I can't do it alone. Some help would be appreciated.

Where is DR visiting today? I am very curious as to whether he met with Gill and Crutcher yesterday as suggested by someone on this board. If so, I am guessing that he is considering their proposal despite the talk on the Delaware board by some that his signing there is a done deal.

Based on his last statement, I wonder what Gill and others have put together as an inducement for DR to stay at UR. I assume that the same will be provided to a new coach should DR elect to leave. As negative as everyone was about Gill's last statement, I see it as a positive inasmuch as it strongly suggests the recognition of additional and immediate improvements to our FB program.

Welcome back, One Putt. Glad that you have become involved in the discussion and glad that you still show interest in our program even after your son has graduated.

Having read their message board, I as much as figured this. They consider themselves too prestigious a football program to stoop to the level of hiring a FCS coach. They scoff at the mention of Delaware's or Richmond's program.

BTW, why is it that neither Temple nor Delaware provides a means for new registrations on their boards?
All they have is a place for a member to log in. I could find no means to even enquire as to how to register.
How does one become a member of either of their boards? Are there credentials required?

little i, you do not qualify, know it is difficult for you to fathom but is reality. on the other hand, am on the hen board which means i do qualify. you will have to figure out why you don't qualify, you can do it.

No, I can't. I can't figure it out. It remains a mystery to me.
There have been and continue to be many things in life which I do not qualify for, but never a message board.
How about a hint?

They are Temple football. It is hilariously ironic that they think there football program is prestigious.
