whipping the Camels Saturday means we'll be playing meaningful football in November...at 5-1 we're right in the middle of the CAA Championship battle...after Hampton this fan almost gave up...only post season football is better than a meaningful November!

winning October (4-0) and five of the last six gives us strong momentum and should give us confidence that we can do what we need to in November...

Championship and Playoff contenders are usually still improving and playing their best ball in November...after the NC A&T stumble it was great to see the Spiders play their best game of the season...I expect we'll need to be even better to win November and we're on the right trajectory...

these are a few amateur highlights from Saturday's big win...the defense, rushing game and passing attack are featured...

Off field tidbit from the game. Twice behind brick wall in front of scoreboard, ran into Webster, our mascot, both times. Hot day. Had his head gear off and we had discussions.

Asked if got paid for it. Affirmative. Asked where he went to school. Graduate student at.....VCU.

In fairness, said the normal guy/gal was asked to fill some other role for the game. He got called night before to sub in.

You would think with 3,100 enrollment we could have taken care of it internally, but no. With respect to sports, this is the attitude we are up against.
