Akron goes down, canceling Radford game. As does Loyola of New Orleans, canceling a game with Louisiana.

Man, look at that. The VCU AD openly communicating with fans, STH, on social media. What a concept in the 2021.

He has an open door policy. In fact, I had a 1 hour Zoom meeting with him and two staff members today to discuss a couple issues. We are very lucky to have such an open AD. He said during the meeting that we reached out to Duke last night. They went with Loyola (MD) instead of playing VCU. Why not?

Ha... sure you did

VCU is an average basketball team this year. Why would Duke play VCU? What do they gain? The answer is nothing.

Well, they're better than the Loyola Greyhounds that Duke did schedule as a replacement game. At 9–1 with wins over Gonzaga and Kentucky and the ACC slate coming up, Duke just wants an easy win, so they swapped out Cleveland State for Loyola at roughly the same level.

Maybe the email which VCU sent to Duke was full of grammatical errors, misplaced modifiers, misspellings and incompressible sentence structure plus a demand for a return game at Costco next season.Good luck.

The director of operations didn’t even show the email to the assistant coaches.
Yep,VCU tried.

fmrick is a big time vcu donor. Even bigger than amrick, if you can believe it. I've also heard fm has some kind of weird thing going on where he buys tickets to our games and then sells them at a profit or something, but I'm not sure exactly how that works.

Lofton's back and starting. Bona–VT tipoff in about 10 minutes.

They've had a couple bad starts this year but I think came back and won the last game they were down like this at the beginning.

Didn't think it could really go worse than the first half for the Bonnies, but somehow it is.

Wow. 37 point loss for the Bonnies. I am guessing that is a throw away all evidence of the video type of game. Forget about it and move on.

Long Island these kind of predictions were the reason he made the post you and gcarter complained about.

Mississippi State jumped out to a 25–8 lead over Furman, gave it all up to go down 6 with under four minutes to play, then pulled out the 69–66 win.

Not exactly sure what you're looking for, but here are each of our OOC opponents with a comparison of their NET on Jan 3 last season (first NET release and roughly the end of OOC), Selection Sunday last season, and their current NET.

Wow, nice opportunity for Davidson. Certainly makes up for losing the Loyola game.

Davidson has the best NET in the A-10 right now at 49, but they have no wins better than Q3 (0–1 Q1, 0–1 Q2, 7–0 Q3/Q4), and as of this morning, there were no more Q1 games on their entire schedule.

Fordham has shut down fan access to the Rose Hill gym.Since I purchased 20 tix for the UR game of Jan 8 it looks like our viewing will in all likelihood be on the small screen.

“Due to the recent rise in COVID cases, we regret to inform you the Fordham Women’s Basketball game against Fairleigh Dickinson scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, December 19, has been postponed. In addition, due to COVID protocols on the Rose Hill Campus, guests will not be allowed to attend the next three home basketball contests in the Rose Hill Gym.

Games affected include:
  • December 22 | Men's Basketball vs. Georgia Southern
  • December 29 | Women's Basketball vs. Florida Gulf Coast
  • January 2 | Men's Basketball vs. Massachusetts

Our priority is to ensure a safe environment for all of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans. This policy will be reassessed prior to the women’s Atlantic 10 contest with Saint Louis on January 5.”

Thanks a lot.
Just trying to see how many had dropped from 3/14 to this season.
So not as strong a schedule as we had hoped.

That’s a shame for dozens of people who attend Fordham games regularly.

Fairfield County,New Haven County,Manhattan,Manhasset,
Westchester County alums from judges, doctors, lawyers and real estate developers with very large check books show up for that game. One even flew into Teterboro on a private jet from FL. You obviously aren’t in their league,no offense.
