I fear that the Mooney situation likens to the story of the Beast.

Pat Beilein as DOB. Probably too soon for that - although he has managed to stay out of the press for a good amount of time since he left Niagara for "personal reasons".
I think JB will get back to coaching in college - but it will need to be the right situation - one where he can win quickly to erase the Cleveland memory, because given his age - I don't think he is looking for a place where he needs 3-4 years to turn it around. And the biggest kicker - the money will need to be right. I know a lot of people on this board disagree with me when I bring up the topic of money with coaches and even JB, but money is the ultimate ego booster for these coaches and it is a measuring stick they use among themselves. No way he wants to come back to college hoops and be paid less than the top coaches in the country because he considers himself the top level coach in the country.
And I don't see him pulling a Jim Calhoun and going off and coaching DIII like Jim Calhoun.
I could see him hiring his son in some capacity, but I think that will be difficult given the rumors surrounding Pat, which is unfortunate because he looked like a young coach on the rise.

Bumping this thread since there was some discussion of Craig Smith. Looks like he’s moving 90 miles down the road to Utah.
