New President - Cornell B-School Dean Kevin Hallock

Hope his B school background allows him an opportunity to review the ROI of Mooney's contract.

Looks like a very solid hire. From an Ivy League school, but not the nose-in-the-air Ivies like Harvard or Yale. Cornell is probably the least elitist of all the Ivies. And its had a pretty decent basketball program in recent memory.

Only sports connections I have found are his writings about the finance of sports and that he played HS baseball

Cornell athletics have outstanding lacrosse and hockey programs.

Basketball was pretty good in 2008-9,2009-10.Other than that not much.Their coach,Steve Donahue, got the BC job as a result of these 2 seasons.

Football gets run over by H-Y-P.Baseball same.Jeff Durden’s son played QB for Big Red.

Yes 10 days ago planning was made because it was not probable we would play on Wednesday of the A-10 tournament but Thursday or Friday were a high probability. Scheduled for Thursday announcement because the news would still be overshadowing other school news on Friday as well.
