Their bigs are terrible free throw shooters. I would've liked to see a hack-a-Shaq type of strategy to muck up the flow and make them prove they can make some/slow down momentum.

I was there, I can tell you we didn't make any adjustments to our strategy. Hell, the last play of the game, we passed the ball around the perimeter running our offense down 40 with 20 seconds left.
Mooney did try some different mix of players during the game, so I will give him that, but the players ran our normal offense/defense the entire time.
It's really maddening that Mooney is so damn stubborn. Or maybe just inept. Half your team or more probably will not be here next year. This year, your team sucks. IT SUCKS. IT'S ONE OF THE WORST TEAMS IN DIVISION 1!

If this is not a come-to-Jesus wake-up call begging you to scrap the status quo for the rest of this season and figure out another way, I don't know what is. And if you don't do it, it's coaching malpractice, period.

Yeah, I am going to be really curious how many players are gonna jump ship after this offseason. Think it could be high, but also think we want it to be high. The entire damn team could transfer and I would be fine with that.
VCU hit another 15 threes last night after 16 against us. I actually thought this was going to be a down year for them. that was silly.

Tried to warn u. When Shulga came back I said they r clear favorite & most thought I’d lost my mind. Why idk. Shulga & Odom good combo. We never stand up to vcu & r actually the 1 opponent most responsible for their success. Whenever there is a path to ncaa for vcu we help clear it. Sigh.
I thought vcu's frontline was too weak for them to win the league. And basically it is, but their four guards have made up for it by exceeding expectations. They are averaging like 53 points a game between them. Russell in particular was an afterthought signing but has been better than I'm sure they expected. The other eight guys on the roster average a total of about 30 ppg between them. That's good enough to be a top-3 team in the A10 this year.
