To his credit, Bob Black asked Mooney the JOC question tonight on the coach's show near the end. Mooney then proceeded to take it a completely different direction and said that since Nick will be reclassifying and will be a junior next year, he believes that class of Gilyard, Golden, Sherod, Cayo and Francis is the best class Richmond has ever had, and so the future is very bright.
Why is that such a tough question? I don't get it.
Coach Mooney went to Princeton, right?
And Princeton is still in the Ivy League, right?
And they still have tough academic standards, right?
So was he socially promoted or something?
Or maybe Princeton doesn't focus on the "questionally" challenged?
I mean they are still located in New Jersey, right? So that might apply or make sense.
So I'm thinking for the sake of our program that maybe we should let FRS or spider fan
or whampas answer this difficult question for Coach Mooney.
Maybe BillyWayneJimBob. Or some other luminary.
Or me.
I think that I could handle it ...I could answer the question.,,,with a few hours to prepare.
Maybe more...maybe a full day...or two...honestly, maybe a full week.
But I could handle it...I know I could....given the time and considering the nature of the question.
Given the proper amount of time that I would need to prepare for such a difficult question
(say a month or so), I think that I could do a yeoman's job.
But let me think about that before I commit to answering within a given time.
Months pass before us before we even know it.
Tempus fugit, as the Romans say.
Tempora fugit, as the Asians say.
Because yes indeed this is a really tough question.
In fact, I've never heard it asked before.
So I want to do my homework.
I'm just covering my ass because I may be missing something.
I've done that before. Once.
