I’m curious whether we will look more for transfers to fill out our roster now with a lot of grad transfers graduating and the end of the extra COVID year. We’ve taken some transfers over the years but it seems that historically, we’ve really focused on development with HS recruits. Jacksonville (especially), HPU, SJU have supplemented well with transfers over the years.

I certainly think, given our reputation and history, that we would be a very attractive option for transfers from top tier programs looking for more playing time or players who have excelled at lower conferences. Face-off is a key position

that strategy has certainly worked for MBball and PQ is the sugar daddy for both those sports.

Agree that it has definitely worked for MBball so far. The biggest reason for that in basketball in recent years is because of NIL. Do we have an NIL for Mlax? I assume the answer is no given the more affluent demographics of the lacrosse players we recruit, but if we did that could really give us a leg up on other programs and elevate our program even further.

Two new additions:

Had trouble opening your link Urfan1, but may have been this. Chemotti said in an email he sent that they’ve had 100 out of the 300 or so transfers in the portal at that time express interest in Richmond. Because of our reputation as being a very solid and top 20ish program, I think we can garner a lot of interest from P5 transferring down looking for some more playing time or players who have proven themselves at a lower conference, looking to play up. Reputation of A10 lacrosse also helps. Chemotti and staff have their work cut out for them. After doing some research, it appears neither of these two received any all-conference honors this year, but had some solid stats. I’m curious how many transfers we’re looking to pick up. According to the transfer portal tracker we have 4 guys who are transferring out of Richmond so far.

Spider17 I read the board and respond on my IPad, but after years of not needing to, I need some help.
How do you post something from X or some other media using an IPad?
Do you know!
All these social media platforms have a button right below the post that will allow you to share it (on X, there’s an upward arrow at the bottom right of the message) and one of the options is to “copy link”. After copying it, you go here as if you’re typing a message on this forum and “paste” the post into the message. The shared post will automatically get embedded in the forum message.

Thank you. Now if there is a way to screw it up, I’ll do i5. LOL
