He would not have had a featured role here this year. Did you not see the game Jacob had last night? Who do you think is the better PG?
I believe that’s the biggest reason he left also. He can also take a baseball bat manufacturing graduate course at Louisville.

Kwhan played 7 minutes last night; he scored 1 point. Kwhan went 0-1 from 3 and made one free throw.

It would have been nice to have had Kwhan in case Jacob got injured like say...yesterday. But I understand why he wouldn’t want to be a role player this late in his career.

I guess a few minutes a game for Louisville looks good on a Turkish league resume.

Am always surprised by the vitriol hurled at Fore. Only averaged 11 pts, 3 rbs, and 3 assists per game. Not to mention he played his ass off. Guess we couldn’t use him this year.
I don’t get the impression that folks are mad at Khwan, I think it’s more of a statement that he felt he had better options to transfer as a fifth year instead of maybe have a reduced role here. I always enjoyed Khwans play but he wasn’t ideally suited as a 2G which is what he was going to be playing.

X2

KF was a guy who played with heart. He was aggressive which is an aberration in Mooney's System. There were games he could take over.

I just don't get where people sense he would have had a reduced level of play this year for several reasons - 1) he had started for several years and was a producer, 2) he was a bright spot on defense, 3) Mooney has a history of being loyal to returning and older players.

It's not like we have shown much bench depth this year, and with JG potentially not at 100% (at least short term), it sure would have been nice to have KF on the team.

I don’t see where Fore would have had a diminishing role here. He would have played 35 minutes a game and been point backup. He left for other reasons.

To be clear, I am not suggesting he would have had a reduced role, others have offered this as explanation for his departure. I think we would all agreehe isn’t the prototypical shooting guard. But we haven’t had a prototypical Sg since brothers graduated I think.

Instead we have no scholarship backup PG. Neat.

Mooney was completely blindsided by his departure, so no, he was not going to have a reduced role this season.

Watched the entire Marquette game and KF played a quality role even though a loss. Had good 1st half where was left in more than I expected. Mack used him again in 2nd half and in OT as def/off sub with McMahon. Mack seems to see him as a key defender in there and if enough offense from other 4 players on court could get 15-20 minutes a game. Best of luck Khawn!

Enjoying watching KF playing important minutes in a national game in front of a packed house for the second time in the last couple days... given the state of our program fully justifies his decision in my mind.
But VT4700 told me Mack, Fore and Lville would suck this year. Damn you little weasel 4700, you lied to me again. AGAIN. Next you will tell me Buzz Williams can't coach. Unbelievable, I am not going to believe you again. I bought into you and Spiderman's preseason hype again, and look where we are. You two are not be believed again. Someone stop me next preseason when Moon rolls out a D3 squad.

Tonight we ride!!!!

Fore. Mack. College basketball at it's finest.

Never met you, but proud of my brother Khwan. Great decision.

And 4700 was talking Mack and Louisville down. I have so much more basketball knowledge than him in my little finger.

Now K, give me two suicides and make 50 FT's in a row.

Carry on.

Proud of Khwan!!

For any unbelievers Khwan is proving how poor a coach Mooney is. On National TV and a packed house the commentators were constantly praising Khwan for his dominating defense. Oh how Mooney has wasted so much talent over the years with his stupid Offense and Defense sets, fire him now
This pisses me off worse than anything, no defensive effort. Mack would not put up with our effort for 1 minute.

guys back off - we don't need to crow when it appears you were right

Can we add a “love” button when “like” just won’t do?

So glad Louisville was able to win also. Mack seems to know KF's strengths and weaknesses like he's had him for 4 years. Constantly frustrated Cassius and Mack had total confidence in KF to guard Langford in the closing moments.

Probably Khwan still doesn't make the Dance but sure looks like he's going to have a FUN time playing this year. Mack really appreciates what he gives the team. See that high 5 KF got from the coach for only deflecting the ball out of bounds? Continued success Khwan!

Now he's borrowed Bernard from Mooney ... And Khwan from Mooney ... Who's next? Gilly or Grant in Cardinal red in a couple years for grad transfer?

Agree 79, 4700 mysteriously shows up, acts like an "expert" and just about everything he posts is completely dispelled by actual play on the court. Sorry Fan1, but with all the L's we take lately, gotta take some DUBS when they are presented. Go Mack, Go Fore.

That is because Mack can coach.
