I offer the link below as bait for those who love to talk endlessly about firing coaches. Here's a nice juicy nugget for you guys to chew on for a while.

I am on record as a fan of CM. I think he should have an opportunity to serve out his contract. The University is right to support him.

Josh Pastner earned NCAA bids at Memphis in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and has achieved a .700 record over seven years. The Tigers beat UConn and Cincy last year while playing a top 70 schedule and have wins over Ohio State and Temple this year.

Despite all of that, it sounds like there are more than a few folks around the program who believe this year should be his last. Enjoy the article:

Not sure the point of the original post – to show that we are right to question Mooney's job security or wrong to do so? Pastner coaches in a league that is actually ranked behind ours, and obviously he has had much more recent success in actually making the NCAAs than we have. So when a program from a lower league with a lot more recent tourney appearances is talking about the need for a new coach, I'd say it indicates that we are well within our rights to question our program and coach.

If you have ever been to the University of Memphis, you would understand. OSC

Are you trying to compare Pastner to Mooney?
One small difference, Pastner can coach. He has taken Memphis to multiple NCAA tournaments. He understands you don't get extra points at the end of a game for the time outs you did not use.
I am just frustrated, Mooney is probably a nice guy.

after watching rick pitino work his magic, pants on or off, will take CM every day of the week. want more, YES but don't want that

We can get a less expensive nice guy all day long. We can also get a better coach, who won't embarras us and still get in the NCAAs every few years. Kan, Ken, Louis. UNC fans have national title apperations I don't think any UR coach would have that kind of preassure.
