I for one love this thread. It is the perfect encapsulation of UR athletic leadership being asleep at the wheel. We sat on our asses with our OOC and got left out of a quality MTE. So we hopped on this Gulf Coast sh*t show at the 11th hour to save face and appeal to the part of the fanbase that doesn't play close attention to the schedule, so they could say "hey look at this great MTE experience we have" and the gullible old ladies on social media would praise them.1,260 posts about 3 non existent games. What about the other 28 games?Talk about having idle time chasing windmills…Sad.
Just a quick glance over a few of their top teams non-conference highlights. I didnt dig too deep into potential MTE matchups unless it was already there on the schedule:I’m curious (but too lazy) to look at the Mountain West teams non con schedule. That league is our peer, although obviously a step above A10 the past few years. Do those teams also have sad out of conference schedules? Or have they been able to schedule well this year? Would tell us if our hunch that Power 5 schools are avoiding the top mid major programs is a real thing or just an A10 scheduling problem
4rh grade. Now you're talking my language. Thanks for helping me out. It’s a sad joke. The thread is a nothing burger.4th grade stuff.
Yes, you’ve routinely made your superiority over the rest of us clear with your repeated snide comments. It’s a sad joke. The thread is a nothing burger.4th grade stuff.

i agree ... The UNI game was so winnable ... worst game of the season except for the last 3I think 18-4 would have definitely had us in the picture. We will never know, but I just feel 10-3 OOC with wins over UNLV, UNI, and Wichita St, though not great wins, along with an 8-0 A-10 start would have gotten us a lot of attention, even after losing to VCU to put us at 18-4.

But if we'd beaten UNI and Wichita St to be 18-4 last year, would we have been getting at large buzz? The metrics - I'm trying to recall here, so correct me if I'm mistaken - said otherwise by end of year, no? I thought it would have bumped us like 5 NET spots up to have won those games, and neither were a Q1 game that would have added value as a win (instead of being an anchor as a loss.)
But, we were only 16-6 thru 22 games last year. Even with a much worse OOC schedule, 19-3 would put us in much better shape this year.
